ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    New Zealand Junk yard Goodies

Im on vacation in New Zealand at the moment, Im from NZ originaly but living in Australia now. I went to visit one of 3 Pick A Part yards to see what parts I may be able to bring back on the plane with me.
The great thing about NZ is that most of our cars are JDM imports.
At the yard there was a CB9, a CB4 accord sedan and a CB5 Ascot.
Both the cb4 and the cb9 had sun visors so i grabbed one set.
The cb4 was 9091 with one piece headlights but had been in an accident so the right side was broken and the left side was not the best condition so I left those, it also had fog lts and the parking pole but I left them aswell as mine is 9293. I did take the front lip though. Some other goodies included power folding mirrors. Map light illuminated vanity mirror passengers side which I grabbed. Interestingly enough i thought the cb5 would have been packed with goodies but no it was very basic, however the door cards are nicer than the cb7's but I cant bring them with me so... Meh. Hopefully I can get out to the other 2 yards before i have to go home. Only other parts i want are 9293 one piece lights and fog lts...

That's interesting. Before I purchased my accord I did come across some imported ascots (CB1) and also noticed they looked nice on the outside but overall they were not as fully equipped or as premium equipped as the imported CB4. Looks like out of all the CB's top of the range is higher than the other CB models (which also didn't get the 4ws as an option).

By chance I came across a fully laden CB4 (all original even with japanese radio and log book in japanese) and ended up purchasing it.

Although I had to fix (mild frontal accident) I would not have passed on it in for even a new car.

Its rare major credentials include but not limited to:

        LSD
        TCS
        ABS
        4ws
        Airbag

        Climate control
        Cruise control

        Driving lights
        Map lights

        Keyless entry
        Integrated Antennae

        Sawblades
        Spoiler (longest integrated LED version)
        Monsoon shields

Specs reads like a car built decades later.

Sounds like only a mild accident (may have just kissed a stationary object). Such as waste knowing this cb with a mild accident is seen as unrepairable or uneconomical to fix hence sent to the junk yard. Even bent chassis are repairable (see saving Ruby and Silver).

It's a model never to be repeated and has tons of life left in its original factory engine and transmission and ageless interiors.

I went to another JY today and got some more stuff 9293 one piece headlights, 9091 fogs, center console/arm rest, theres still more I want to go back and get but I ran out of time today.. The JDM 9091's ive seen have the chrome strip door moldings which some people would probably go crazy for but I also noticed the 9293 sedan's have the slim door moldings which some say are found on the European market cb7's
Other things worth mentioning were adjustable intermittent wipers, the JDM front bumpers are slightly different from ours in that the number plate is recessed into the bumper unlike our Australian (and possibly US) cb's the license plate stands out on a mount.
I'm not sure about the american CB7's but all the ones Ive seen in Australia have the basic Honda H emblem on the back but most (not all) of the jap ones have the nicer looking badge which has a black background; same with the steering wheel center.

            Interior Sun visors $8 ea

Map light $6, Steering wheel center , Trunk emblem $9 for both

            Center Console $26

            Wiper Control Stalk $37

            9091 Fogs $21 for both

            9293 One Piece $48ea

            Monsoons $8 ea

            9091 Front lip $16

The prices I paid are in NZD but close enough to US Dollars to be considered the same.

That center console is for a 4WS car.

Just a quick 2cnts: dont even mention trying to sell them until youre not in the beginners section. deev is pretty strict about that. Not syaing you were going to. you just have an opportunity to make some money right now with your access to these sought after parts. Nice pick ups though!
