ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    First Accord, Many Other Hondas

Bought a cheap '92 Accord a couple weeks ago with a knocking engine:

Started tearing into this weekend and found the source of the knock:

    I see j00!

Sourced a ridiculously cheap H22 engine and trans locally through CL, so that is the plan at this point...along with freshening up what I can on my budget.

Thanks to lucid's thread for help on what parts are needed!

I'm trying to swap the F22 distributor internals into an OBDII distributor housing...looks like all I'll need is to drill and tap a couple of holes for the CAS pickup.

I really wanted to pull the head off the A6 to see if took any damage, but the head bolts are on tight enough that 1/2" impact wouldn't budge any of them except for one of the middle bolts. Tried a breaker bar with a 4 ft jack handle as a cheater and still no dice...

I've stripped about all off the A6 that I can use and it will get tossed in the scrap pile.

Need to order parts for the H22 so I can complete it and get it ready to go in the car.

Seeing if I can convert the OBDII H22 distributor to accept the OBDI F22's guts.

              3.3mm drill bit
              M4x0.7 tapered tap
              M4x0.7 bottoming tap

              +

              drill press

              =

Is it sad that I was most excited to see the wagon? I miss my RT. It unfortunately had the typical RT rust issues, including the rear crossmember almost losing a lower control arm. There aren't many Hondas in general around here, especially in the wreckers, so I ended up selling it to buy my 92 so I had a reliable daily
