ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Parts are very hard to come by, and there are very few legitimate performance parts available. Anyone serious about performance with the 3rd gen chassis generally has to do a lot of custom work. They are capable, probably the sportiest Accords ever made... but the aftermarket has long since abandoned them.

I have an 86 LXi hatchback myself.

I loved my 89 LX 4 door .. comfortable, powerful enough, loads of room for all my gear,
and a very, very dependable automobile it was. You still see them around ..
although if I owned one today, I'd keep it bone stock. Maybe wheels and rubber,
and a tiny drop. Other then that, they're a fun car. I really enjoyed mine.

The LXi models make 120hp. In a car that weighs 300-400lbs less than a CB7, that's a better power to weight ratio than an F22A6-equipped CB7! The suspension design is also reported to be much sportier. Honda went for more of a luxury approach with the 4th gen... the 3rd gen was too sporty for the target market.

That's what I wanted to do to mine... restore it, with just a mild drop and subtle wheels. Right now, it's on Progress springs and KYB GR2 shocks that my friend installed when he briefly owned it. The drop is nice. Not slammed, but lowered just enough to make it look better.

                  Here's some inspiration:

                  3geez member borewicz from Poland

I don't even like red cars, and this makes me drool!

                  and MessyHonda

This is done how I like it... clean, not extreme. I believe he's B-series swapped now as well.

I see a lot of these around Vancouver Island, a lot of them in good shape; more so than most CB7's I see in fact, haha.

Also, am I the only one that thinks the 3rd gen sportier modeled Accords look like Preludes? I have trouble telling them apart. Don't hate.

They do look similar in a way. The 3rd gen Preludes look like squashed Accords! Very different, though. The 3rd gen Prelude and Accord were more different from each other than the 4th gens were.

The 3rd gens are so old now that the majority of them still rolling around are only doing so because their owners truly care for them. That would likely account for the good condition. Usually, though, there are very few around! At least in the Northeast, where they've all rusted to bits by now...

i've seen a couple cruising around here in San Antonio, these cars are one of those that as time goes by and if any maintance is required/needed it seems cheaper and better to the owner to dispose of it and get a replacement.

i came across a 2nd gen on CL that was running and manual asking $500 for it. i wish i jumped on it :/
