ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I believe with proper maintenance every cb will run for a loooong time. The f22ax is a work horse, lower compression combined with good breathing makes it age gracefully. Any Honda with a standard transmission is the most reliable dollar for dollar. Cb's have decent auto trannys though 9 out of ten cb's in the junk yard are auto. You can use the yard to tell how good a car is. The whole domestic section is full of year 2000 era. A 2001 civic at the yard gets gutted in a week. And then there are none.
My cb has 340,000 miles. Stuff wears out .I'm pretty sure every nut/bolt and screw has been removed at least once. I would still give it a 9. Though I've replaced a lot of parts you could not put 340,000 miles on a Chevy malibu if you towed it.
......father in law has it back again. Time to shine

I'd say a 10! I bought my '93 EX wagon for $450 and drove it home. Put 2 new headlights, and a hood, did a tune up, and I've put 4000 miles on it since I bought it in July. I'm about to do my second oil change, and a timing belt and water pump after. I love it and trust it to go ANYWHERE! The only time it's left me stranded was when I ran out of gas once (My fault lol)

a really good number on reliability would be an 8.

because it leaves room for improvement.
a 90's Honda can easily reach a reliability number of 10.
but like mentioned before its just like any car.
poor maintenance can lead that reliability number of 1 or worse 0.

I would rate mine personally at a 9.

            Others who don't know they're driving a cb7 probably a 6 or 7.

For as long as I've had mine and as hard as I drive it everyday. It's freaking awesome.

I bought mine for $500 and drove it home with an evil grin. Previous owner couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start when cold or hot, so he sent her off with me. (Bad main relay, I soldered the baby good as new)

I feel a little sorry for him because he had all new belts and clutch put in, but what the hell. He had it for over 5 years. He even gave me a Haynes manual.

If he had known, he would've kept it another 5 or 10. And I would be out of a cb7.

Well I beat my accord like a dirty redheaded step child yet over the years she has never really let me down. Finally did a full tune up just cause she finally got over 300k miles and she feels like a champ again. Time to build up a fresh engine and a fresh trans plus new suspension this heffer is still on the original factory suspension, sooo with that said ill have to give it a 10 in reliability.
