ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Hoping for help identifying unknown trim level

Hey I'm driving this 91 sedan with the emblems removed and i dont know what trim level it is. its my brothers he's hoping to sell it so I want to find out for him if I can. Details: has power windows and locks, a/c, sunroof, cruise and f22a1 auto trans. I would think it was an ex/ex-r cuz of the sunroof but it doesn't have an f22a4 or a6 so I dunno. Any help would be cool and here's some pics just cuz I think the car looks good!

It's an EX-R with a replaced engine. That model should have had the F22A4.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Ok thanks a lot jarrett so I was right it just had an engine swap makes sense. Maybe that's why it has the header style exhaust manifold that comes with a4 and a6

If they were savy they kept the IM/Head/Exhaust from the A4 and just swapped the A1 block over. If that is the case all you are missing is the oil cooler and the windage tray to make the block correct. Do you have a photo of the engine bay?

Your rims are also from an LX/DX trim, the EX-R had alloys...

Also you can always try researching the VIN.

Is the sunroof OEM or aftermarket?

Looks OEM in the 2nd photo. I would assume it is. Aftermarket sunroofs look like ass and work worse. There are usually rivets or screws or something out of place on them. OEM is just smooth glass like in the OP.

Was the car in a front end collision at one point in time? the fitment is off on the bumper and it looks like it was resprayed.

Yup, you have the F22A6 exhaust and the F22A4/6 double runner plenum.

Looks like you need a heat shield though. Be sure and check over the swap, I hate inheriting problems from lazy mechanics. That heat shield will protect your alternator, especially if you live in a hot place.

Actually, the F22A4 was essentially an F22A1 with a tubular exhaust manifold. Everything else is the same. Even the ECU.

Oh man, I must have been smoking crack earlier unknowingly... OP you have F22A6 intake manifold and exhaust, I'm curious if you have the F22A6 cam as well. Can you check what ECU you have? I'm curious if you have a PT3 ECU that was modded for IABs or if you are infact running the PT6 ECU. The ECU is located under the passenger's side carpet near the firewall.

I have been staring at my F22A1 to F22A6 conversion too much lately...

Thanks for the help but we already figured out it is a '91 exr. a4 block swapped for a1 block with a6 intake manifold and exhaust manifold. Now to figure out the ecu but its my brothers car so I might not be able to do that right away but I'm interested to find out the ecu type soon hopefully.
