ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Dove in head first with my 91 ex coupe and a 94 vtec prelude!

Ok.....so coincidentally I came up on one 91 EX coupe, at about the same time as a 94 vtec prelude....total investment....about $1100! Drove the Prelude for a minute, but a series of events quickly turned it into a donor vehicle for the 91 coupe that had been prematurely laid to rest in a field about 7 years ago...old man told me it was parked there, but the engine was shot n I would have to tow it out.....with a little love I drove it home n then some. After I had given it all the love I wanted to give it, I kinda accidentally intentionally blew a hole in the block as it was leaking oil like a siv and the automatic transmission had a bad sensor that intermittently wouldn't allow it to shift outa 2nd, so I ran it hard till it quit, knowing the 5spd h22 was sitting in the Prelude back at the ranch waiting for it's new body! Never did a swap b4, n not getting crazy with it, just out of the old n into the new or is that outa the new n into the old? Thing is I'm thinkin I have everything to do it, considering I have both cars, except I prematurely scrapped the old engine which I'm learning that there's a few parts I needed from it b4 I got rid of it. The h22 is in place n now I'm getting a lil nervous, as I need to be driving this car in less than 2 wks. Have converted the 5spd, the engine n have everything that they came with in the Prelude, ecu etc....converted n have installed the drivers side axel.....n found out on my own n confirmed it here the the Prelude axels are too long.....I'm getting just looking for some advice to getter done with a quickness....haven't started splicing harnesses yet, although I pulled the harness outa the engine compartment into the front seat of the Prelude wondering if I should just swap the entire harness....not thinkin I should after reading here....have the entire dash outa both cars, and bouncing around on the reassembly of the Accord....also thought about using the rear disc brakes from the Prelude, however....they're anti-lock...? Need good advice....lots of it.....and quick like! Thanx in advance!

    Welcome!

1st and foremost so people will be able to assist you better, try separate out your thoughts/story in multiple paragraphs, and re-evaluate how you use punctuation, as it makes it easier for us to read it, so future people will be able to read it, and by the time the thread is done, it can be used as reference for the answers you were provided.

Also this thread would have been better placed in the 'Beginner Technical/Performance', as it is pertaining to your car, and the cb chassis. Off topic is for anything that isn't related to the chassis, like complaining about your significant other, posting something funny you found on the web, or anything else that doesn't pertain to the sections we have on the board.

Now that is out of the way, the h22 should be pretty much a straight swap, you should not need to swap out harnesses. You may have to add some extra wires here and there, like the IAB (Intake Air Bypass), and vtec pressure switch come to mind.

If you have not already, you should have a look at this thread: Swap FAQ: (Read Prior to Posting!) and H22 SWAP: The Complete Parts List, which was found by looking at and in the 'stickys' at the top of the swap section on this board.

Once you have reviewed that information, if you have any specific questions, or need clarification, feel free to continue posting in this thread, or ask your associated questions in the other threads outlined when you have 30 posts.

Great just remember do it ones and do it right the first time and you will do well. Now with that being said once you feel vtec for the first time you will definitely enjoy it in the accord from the prelude.
