ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Hey Fellow CB7 owners

Hey guys. I am still driving the 93 Accord LX that was my first car. I got it when I was about 15 and now im almost 22, and graduating college in a few years. I have always used this forum for builds and decided I should set up an account as I have much to learn and much to share I started with the basic mods, and am now in deep with a complete motor build.

I am building a F22A1 with a Delta 272 cam, Upgraded Valve springs, Stainless Valves, Bronze Guides, Block Guard, Bisi Forged Piston and Long Rod Combo with Ceramic Tops and Moly on the skirts. A MHI 14b turbo and it is tuned by me and some help from some other members on this forum. I have been attempting to wait patiently to finish the motor and drive the car. It gets very difficult when the car sits for 4 months without moving.

I cant wait to learn more and share my knowledge

What's up! Pretty sick mods you've done to the F22. Sounds like its going to be a beast.

Oh yea.. The design of the build is designed for acceleration.. And low end. Its quite a but of fun when it was running before I decided to rebuild.

Do not use a block guard. They warp cylinders.

Also, the 272 is for N/A engines. It is a very bad choice for turbo. Far too much overlap. You'll be blowing your fresh air/fuel charge right out the exhaust valves and into your turbo. Right into your red hot turbo. Unburned fuel. In your turbo.
        See where I'm going there?

I have read both good and bad about the block guard. Have you had any first hand experience with this? If you have..I will have An issue then because the block was already decked flat after the block guard was installed. I know of a few friends that ran the block guard with no problems whatsoever. As far as the cam. I know its got a lot of overlap. I have been running this setup before I built the engine and I really liked it. I will run the 272, but I will talk to delta about something with higher lift without as much overlap.the actual spec on that cam is only about 200 @ .050. I like the way the car pulled, it feels very good at the low end and pulls hard up to the top. The high overlap will help the turbo spool.. Not that this one takes any time to do that. if you have suggestions feel free.. There was at least one other member running that cam with boost with good results. Thanks guys!
