Got my first ticket today... and it's a really shitty story, I've been sick for about a week and went to the doctor on thursday, found out I have pneumonia, influenza and a sinus infection, so I got a note to get out of work. I wasn't to go back to work untill the 24th, 3 days, but I told my boss Friday if I was feeling good Sunday I would come in for him, and he called me today and basically begged for me to come in cause he was already short and I was feeling alright so I agreed, cancelled plans with my girlfriend and everything. THEN.... I decide I'ma be a nice guy and show up a half hour early. So instead of getting in at 5, I'd get there at 4:30, I pull into the driveway of my workplace and I saw those wonderful flashing lights... I didnt think it was me so I just pull into a parking space, the cop pulls up behind me! I was like "wtf?" He clocked me doing 51 ina 35... But he wrote for 40, generous thing of him to do but I plan to fight it becuase itll probably get thrown out. Yup thats my story.

That sucks, good luck with getting it thrown out. But if you are stuck with it at 5 over won't be any points or a very expensive ticket. -
If he fights it and still gets stuck with the ticket, it'll be for 16 over, not 5. They make note of letting you off easy.
I was caught supposedly doing 51 in a 40 (no way in hell I was), then he finally pulled me over doing 40 in a 35 after we sat staring each other down at a light. Didn't give me a ticket. I didn't think I was doing 51 I was driving a little quick but on that street no one does 35, everyone's doing 40-45 and i'm sure my car just grabbed his attention. But he didn't write my actual speed on the ticket so He can't change it. My mom is convinced he won't show for a 40/35.
as long I don't get any points I'll be happy,

Get prepared legal its only $25 a month I had a cop talk smack to me I took out my card and he backed off once he saw the card from my lawyer. I think the same cop tried to pull me over the next day he got behind me turned on his lights I looked at him he looked at me and kept it moving lol. You may have to pay the fee but with no points. Be careful bro.Comment

I know here the cop doesnt have to show up to court unless it is a DWI or something big. So check your local laws, just cause he doesn't show doesn't mean it will be thrown out.Comment
