ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    What about an Accord magazine?

I mean if we could get enough people that are handy with graphic arts/photography.(I can take part in this if needed) could it be done?

I was at walgreens today, picked up a few magazines thought about buying one then remembered no one pays attention to accords let alone Cb's so I put them all down.
Sponsors? would be what? Bisimoto? and who else? would we include Preludes? Because of the H22? just some thoughts I got. e.e

Truth be told not many people would buy it because Accords are not seen as the favorite chassis in the Honda Community.

Agree, but all generation would be a swell idea. Bringing in more enthusiast with new ideas and more than just to one gen of chassis and power plants.

If just CB related it would fail as i know i wouldn't buy something i can basically see on this site or can see in a average day being the same old same old. It would have to be new and fresh not the average and a repeatedly beating dead horse type stuff we SO commonly see. Mixing it up would help a hell of alot as you might not have a CB, but have interest in accords period or hell just a car enthusiast period.

I would upgrade my account just to get one or pay a monthly fee but as being said it might take some time and a lot of money.

How about, instead of a paper magazine, make an e-zine type deal. Kind of like minitruckinweb.com ? It can be a magazine type layout with featured cars with stories about the builds. Especially for the AOTM. Cost would be down, and hosting would already be taken care of.. just make it like... mag.cb7tuner.com or whatever.

That is really cool! Not quite as good as a real physical magazine that you can flip through while dropping a deuce... but probably the next best thing. Better than just a plain webpage that calls itself a magazine. This even has the page glare, as if it were real glossy paper!

I think I had things planned out that I would need to sell a CB7tuner magazine for about $20 an issue, two issues a year. I would expect to sell between 70 and 100 issues. After shipping costs, I figure I would likely break even with those numbers.

with the virtual magazine you wont even have to wori e about priting unless some one would a print out of it this is awasome, i am goin to start looking for a website where you can create a virtual magazine i created a website in spanish for what i like to do but it would be to simple for this kind of project

The virtual magazine doesn't have the same charm to me, though. It's like being in a band and releasing MP3s, or releasing an actual CD or record. (in fact, my current band's sole goal is to record music and press a vinyl record... we just want our music on vinyl!)

why not do both , the virtual would have different sections than the printout that way the magazine would sell and the website would be visited to see more of what the person might be reading

That's true. Many popular magazines do just that. It's a thought. Although, we're pretty limited on content for a CB7-only magazine!

I'm considering getting paying advertisers, but we only have so many people that would be willing to pay to advertise in a magazine that will sell MAYBE 100 copies... and that's me talking, with a captive market here at CB7tuner!
If I do it, I expect to do it at a loss... just because it'd be totally badass to have a CB7tuner magazine!

You should just do a limited edition one on the anniversaries of cb7tuner so it doesnt get too expensive and theres still one out every year or so
