ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

When people ask to get banned, we're more than happy to oblige!

That's the thing... people seem to assume that our goal is to be as big as possible, with as many members as possible. They say it's "bad business" to drive anyone away. But honestly... this is NOT my business. This is what I do for fun; interacting with a community of (reasonably) intelligent, respectful, enthusiastic people. Neither I, nor the rest of this community, needs a member that can't respect and follow the rules.
It's amazing how many angry emails I get from people I've permabanned saying "ur site sux im never coming back"... well duh... that's why I banned you, dumbass!

Deev, They say they will never come back... but They still do just as a guest aha.

and it's weird, a thread will get read plenty of times but once it gets stickied, the thread dies...? :o

as for the op looks like you got your question answered again. If I were you I'd go take a Breather outside, come back with a clear head. a little apology if so choose to. and just take your time finding stuff out.

Not to long ago, someone finally got his first post after having been a member for a bit. He was thanking the community because he always searched, every single thing that we need is in this site

No matter where you go there is rules.Your job has rules, the house you live in has rules, when you drive there are rules, and even when you go out to eat the restaurant has rules. This forum is no different. And whatever you are looking for somebody has more than likely asked where to get it.Not very hard rules to follow.

The people that whine about the forum rules are often the same ones that say "my mom's a bitch. She won't let me smoke pot in the house", or "fucking pig pulled me over for speeding. I was barely going 20 over!"

Yeah, maybe that's harsh, but we have rules for a reason. And we enforce them, if we didn't, it would be chaos.
You used a hastag on a website that doesn't support that feature -_-

              ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways I think it's a bit, hmmm how do I put this? A bit, silly, when ppl ask for something and then another person wants to sell it to them. I guess that's why we have the actual section for purchasing items from other members and such. I honestly don't understand why that's a reason for ban but whatever, I just try to look over it even though it irks me.

What happens when you get scammed in a sale in the beginner section?

You all go crying to Deev and try to make it his problem.
Thats just ONE of the reasons why.

As was said previously, it's not the action itself that's harmful, it's what can come of it. In no way is it beneficial to this community to have members here for the sole purpose of buying/selling. We've had enough scammer problems as it is.

I agree with both sides of the story here but I think if one gets a permaban for not reading the rules (for the first time), that's too strict. But just my opinion.

I can understand a new member joining and thinking "Wow this place is like the land of Honda answers I've been looking for" Well I thought that also at the beginning. But you can't just stop every driver on the road and ask them "how to's" same as you don't corner a doctor in a elevator to look at your sore toe.
So I read and bookmarked many DIY's I know I'd use and some posts too. I used search a lot and only when I could get a answer did I ask. I even said in some of my post I have searched with no results.
Confusion for me is just where to post, not the post itself. I get it wrong most of the time.
So the tip is look before you leap and know many have asked your question....just take the time to look for it.

It's true that the number of subforums has grown considerably over the years, so it can get confusing... but posting something in an area that SEEMS right, even if it's not, usually won't be met with a harsh comment. It'll just get moved to the correct section.
As long as it's not "I didn't know where to post this technical question, so I just stuck it in Off Topic." (which happens a lot!)
