ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

the look ...kinda
the fact that every integra, civic, 240sx, celica, has them where i live makes it stupid in my opinion. especially since most are not funtional. i even saw one on the back of a lifted black toyota pickup the other day
C-3PO's MRT USDM yo!
then i see my baby, suddenly I'm not crazy,
It all makes sense when i look into her eyes

They look moronic. If it's not functional (Who are we kidding? None of them are.) then you likely had altered curriculum when you were in school. It's like having a fire extinguisher that sprays confetti. You can look at it with a false sense of security that it could be used to help you out of a jam. But should someone ever try to use it you're just going to piss them off and have to explain to them why you think it looks cool.My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Functional = looks good.
Screwed to your plastic bumper cover = makes you look like an idiot.
My car will eventually see track duty. I plan on competing in the Honda Challenge series. Front and rear tow hooks are required. On a track, they're necessary to remove an immobilized vehicle from the track, or a ditch.
A non-functional tow hook is like wearing a cup made of tissue paper on the outside of your pants. It makes people want to kick you in the nuts.

^ Lots of cars have the type that screw into a covered hole in the bumper. German cars in particular come to mind. Some VWs from like a generation or two ago also had actual loops sticking out under the rear bumper, I recall seeing New Beetles with red ones and a friend's Jetta at my work has one.
I'm wanting a hook for the front of my car, it's broken down enough that I'm sick of removing the bumper every time just to get to the tie-down loops, haha! I'm thinking a black one (and not those flimsy aluminum piece-o-shits that are popular) that's in there fairly deep so it's not immediately obvious. I already keep a tow rope in with my spare tire, it's gotten some good use.

I honestly cant stop shaking my damn head everytime I see this kind of thing. Some people just are plain followers or are trying to fit in hard in the scene which I rather not understand.
I honestly if I was to install something like this I would only have it visible when its only going onto the towtruck if my cars that damn low. The next thing I would install it in such a way where it would be retractable so that noone would even know the shit is there just for easier access.
