ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

IDK, agreed the SE isn't as common as the other trim levels but I wouldn't go as far as saying its rare. I think the only thing you listed that would be considered rare would be the dash with the passenger side airbag, its the only CB across all the years that has one (and not all 1993 SE's even have it so yeah, pretty rare). The other shit ain't shit really, its just a bunch of add on bullshit that you can find on any CB.

I don't see a lot of different types of cars and trucks on a monthly basis. Don't mean they are rare by any means. Just means I haven't seen one.

Oh, I think I understand now. I was reading the description on the eStore as the size of the rotor. It said 15", whereas my '91 LX says 14". It sounds like that just relates to the size of the wheel. That said, the rotors on the wagons are larger than those on my LX, right?

I am the OP; you didn't come off as rude, thanks for the heads up.

I read the DIY and didn't notice that. I didn't have time to read all 11 pages, but I quickly skimmed them. It seemed as though everyone was asking questions that had already been answered, and I got fed up and went back to work. I just looked at the part numbers for the rear knuckle on a 1991 SE and my 1991 LX -- they differ only in the last three characters: 52111-SM4-010 versus 52111-SM4-911. I thought that the last three characters were only representative of the target market and revision, not actually anything physically different. Anyway, if/when I go to grab a set of rear disks I'll be sure to grab the knuckle if they are indeed different. Thanks for the info!

The '91 SE is a physically different knuckle because the '91 SE was the only US-model '90-'91 to have rear discs.

DONT ARGUE about an opinion! you are exactly right. (i mean your opinion). thank you, my panties have been de-waded. Now that you gave me your opinion. i actually concur with you. im in a smaller market in northern Delaware and the SE's are slim pickins around here. HOUSTON= 5th largest city in AMERICA.... MORE SE's. i was just giving my opinion which sounded kinda force fed i agree. i cant seem to find any! SALUTE.

It's a sedan so it's the 1991-93 SE sedan or 1993 10th anniversary, I got the SE coupe with the stock rear disks. Good score for easy maintenance.

OP- they are rare in a sense that this particular one doesn't look scavenged yet. Trust me it will be ruined fast. Also if you are able to find SE floor mats (if it is an se) they are also completely different than the other trim level mats.

Also op look for the parts out of this list that are in the SE, if they aren't already snagged.

Mainly the IAB black box, camshaft, and the ECU.

The dual air bag dash only came in the 93 se sedan. The coupe had the regular dash.

I have the 93 SE coupe, I would love the dash from the sedan, anyone know if it has fitment issues? I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Does the 10th anni have the dual airbag too?

I have not been able to find an SE coupe, sedan or 10th anni in my local junk yards yet, but if I do I'll snag as much special stuff as I can.

The '93 SE sedan dashboard is nearly the same dimensionally to all the other dashboards. It will bolt up and a member on here has even done the swap (ProJect, I believe.). I do not know, however, if the passenger side airbag piggy backs its sensor functions from the same sensors that alert the steering wheel airbag, or if the module is the same. Perhaps I'll check out the microfiche and come back and update this thread.
