ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

It would probably help things if you said that in the "location" section of your profile. I've seen a number of threads by you where people get confused. MOST members on this site are from the US or Canada, so anyone that doesn't say where they're from is usually assumed to be from one or the other.

pisses me off looking at the listing cause it has all the jdm parts on the car which USA got gypped out of.

also it must have been in a rear end collision cause the rear bumper doesnt have the chrome / stainless trim.

even the side skirts have the trim =D. ive never seen that before.

From the looks of the pics it is very very likely a genuine JDM import.

It has all the tell tale signs of a JDM version and when compared to my car it has similar jdm components eg. instrument cluster, interior, badgings etc. indicating strongly it is genuinely JDM.

                            Downside or uncertainty:

Though there is no pics of the engine bay to confirm the 2.0 engine and if indeed is a Si (injection) not carby (though it is very unlikely) and verify the tags. No pic no strong confirmation but highly the coveted most powerful oem engine fitted to a CB chassy (the DOHC EFI high compression 2.0 JDM engine).

Though it is JDM as with all JDM cars it doesn't equate to being automatically better than locally avail cars (not in Australia anyway) as not all options are taken.

Australia tends to have a mid to high range (JDM level) package deals for their cars (with minimal options). The JDM result comparison may be a mix of features that are unique and better than local cars but and also less than what is avail on locally avail cars.

Unlike CB's in the USA our base model is somewhat in the mid rage of the USA trim levels. We didn't have accords with rear brake drums nor did we have manual windows. So in my opinion we would not view a JDM car as automatically better or have a really high percentage of being better.

Example: a Top range trim level in Australia had Sunroof as standard (im almost certain on this) while in Japan it has always been an option. So you may have a stituation where a JDM top range has the digital climate control (was made standard in Japan) but without a sunroof. So a mixed feeling can be had.

Unless the original owner in Japan fully loaded his purchase and ticked most of the option boxes, the resulting JDM import would not be a clear winner. Most JDM's will be a mixed feeling car as most that survive the trip are of the top spec variety. You will be faced with JDM trade off between say a better engine to forgeing a sunroof or a digital climate control but no ABS etc.

I was lucky enought to find one that was definitely clear winner. Hence Im content and would hands down pass up on this :P.

I would have looked at this or end up buying it for myself If I had spare cash, room and if nothing majorly wrong with it as its quite affordable and in easily restorable state (for a reliable and respectable ride). Alas I am content and have even just scored a ultra rare purchase just a few days ago. Yes, my purchase was a real JDM car just not a CB this time. Hint, its still a Honda and a Halo car (just as rare and coveted as a fully optioned JDM CB is to us)
