ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Buying a 93 Accord Tomorrow

Ive spoken for and picking up a 93 Accord LX. It has 360,000 miles on it. Its a goldish grey color, grey interior, automatic, 4dr. I found it for sale for $650. With clean title of course.

The guy said it will crank but wont get any spark. (Im betting its the ignitor.)
    Mabie a main relay.

Nice! it looks taken care of, but has a bump on the fender, scratch on the bumper, and rust by the rear bumper. Don't know the color name but mine is the same color, I just polished & waxed the sucker this past weekend, and I noticed it is a grey gold as you described, I always saw it as gold, but it just needed a polish.

That is seattle silver metallic. It should have a maroon interior in it.

I saw the dent in the fender and scratch on the bumper also. Im hoping its been taken care of. I think it takes a little care to get it to 360k. Or another motor and trans LOL. In Missouri you never see one (thats from Missouri) that isnt rusted on the rear panels. Kinda sucks.

offer him less than 650. its not running. a jy would offer less than 650 more like 300-350 on a good day. offer him less. these cars are everywhere for parts! just remember it could be worse than what you really think the problem is. might cost you up to 2g's just to repair. think smart before buying a non running vehicle unless you know 100% what the problem is.
RIP 4/23/12...lets not forget, the 88" Z31 turbo, are my dailys

Yeah i have a tow truck reserved for 1pm tomorrow. Im sure itll be $150-$225.

One salvage yard here hasnt had any for 2 years and wont buy any. One other place (Bayless) sold me a "running" H23. Ended up being siezed from low oil, so i dont do business with them. And the only other salvage yard i know of around here, which is awesome and i was in good with, (B&B) just crushed every CB7 they had. Said they wernt making any money off them. So parts are hard for me to find.

I guess i might offer him less.

                            UPDATE: Bought the car today.

Talked him down to $450. When i got there it ended up being a 5 speed so that was cool! The car was a one owner car. The last owner is 63 years old (said he was done working on stuff lol) and gave me all his records back to 1994.

The car came with a box full of this stuff he hadnt put on yet. Extra fuse box, ECU from an F22 Prelude (couldnt find an accord one i guess), new IACV, new distributor, new starter, new fuel pump, new FPR, new injector seal kit, and some other odds and ends.

He said he just couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. I started messing with it once i had it towed home. And i ended spraying starting fluid in the TB and got it running for a second or two. The next time i hit the key i could hear clicking under the dash and the fuel pump clicking on real fast. (i knew what that was) So i put a $55 Main Relay in and now i have another CB7 for $505.

So far ive found out it has cold working A/C, SRS light acts like it has a short in it. It flickers. (Ill have to look into that.) Has a weak slave cylinder and needs a new exhaust. But it runs great, shifts great and dosent smoke or use oil.
