ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Cb7 vs cd5

I currently have a cb9 but there is a beautiful cd5 wagon (not sure of chassis code for wagon). It's got me thinking about selling my cb9 to upgrade. Has anyone owned both cars? Which do you prefer and why? Any pro's and cons between the two

In terms of the internals involved (mean the underside like susp and what not) They are exactly the same. Both have a F22x engine so swapping is an option. The only major hang up if you want to call it one is the fact that it is OBD2 (depending on the year). Other than that I would say go for it. Just don't be a stranger here , despite the fact that we do have a sister site CD5Tuner.com.

    Hope this helps!!!!

This is my 1100th post!!!! YEAH BOY!!

So basically same exact car? It's a 94 so I'm not sure which odb I'd have guessing odb1. I'm trying to get the money together to hopefully buy the cd5. Haha if I do get it I'll probably just stay on this site I love the community on this forum. And congrats on 1100!

You should go on Accord Wagon Club and look through the pics for reference. You can choose to browse by generation so you can compare them.

And I think the chassis code for the wagon is CE1... I think.

they arent exactly the same. why do people always say that? some suspension components are interchangeable but thats about it. and they arent even the same parts. different engines. different transmissions. different panels. different everything. the power to weight it about the same.
i prefer the cb coupe and sedan but i like the ce1 which is the 5th gen wagon in the us

Lol, yeah thats what I'm trippin on how the hell are they the same? Thats like saying the CD and CB are the same, which they are clearly not. Like Dani Filth said, just about everything is different other than the fact that both are wagons.

I had a 93 SE, and I loved it until I ruined the motor.
I now have 96 LX Wagon, and I wouldnt trade it for the world.

Its either I get a ce1 or I fix up my cb9. I'm not sure which I like more though. I feel like getting the ce1 just because it'll have a higher resale value. And my car has a water leak that's getting me angry. The ce1 I'm looking at has leather seats, leather is more rare right?

i think leather was a dealer option, or aftermarket. i dont think it was factory. leather cracks and looks like shit which makes a car worth less i feel

If it was an dealer(all other models) and factory(only se) option on our cars, then i assume it was an option on the cd5/ce1 whether it was factory or dealer?

To be honest, i like the look of the 4th gen wagon more than the 5th gen, 5th gen's tail lights throw me off. just my opinion though, i'm sure there are some sick 5th gen wagons out there.

^I'm just the opposite. I like the rear of the 5th gen wagon - it looks like a mini Odyssey!

And not to mention, it looks more modern compared to the CB9. Well, the body style of all the 5th gens look more modern than the 4th gen counterparts, but the curvaceous rear of the wagon just appeals to me. The 5th gen wagons are very rare in Canada, even rarer than the CB9's. If I had to choose between the two wagons, I'd take the 5th gen. But for coupes and sedans, I'd take the CB7's.
