That rely on you to help them work on their car because they are too cheap/lazy/stupid to do it themselves?
Well i have this one that is all three combined. Like back in late January or early February, he hits a patch of ice and slid up on a curb to hit a hydrant. He calls me repeatedly, was sleeping and didn't want to pick my cell, while he's stuck on the side of the saying that what had happened and that his car won't start now plus there was a lot of oil dumping onto the ground.
Anyhow lets flash forward a few months to where dood gets his car back from the shop and he brings it by my house so i can look over it since his engine is leaking oil. Upon inspection his valve cover is leaking oil by the camp hump and in the corner by the power steering pump. After telling him that that changing that gasket he ought to be good so we go out and buy everything.
So I get him all fixed up but knowing he doesn't have a lot of money he promised to take me out to breakfast one day which i'm still waiting on. Now last night is what really pissed me off about the guy; i called him first around 5pm EST because i knew he would be home so i could ask him if i could use him as a reference for job that i wanted to apply for. He doesn't answer. I waited fifteen minutes because maybe he was dropping a deuce and tried again; no answer. So i said F' it and just texted him asking if i could use him as a reference because i thought it would be rude to use him and not ask first. I still haven't received a reply yet.
Just last weekend, he was having issues with his laptop where it was getting really hot and asked if he could swing by so i could take a look at it. Since i wasn't doing anything i said sure. Turned out his fan was just clogged with dust so i blew it out with the last breath from my only can of compressed air.
SO basically whenever he is in a jam, he calls me repeatedly until i answer my phone. If i still don't answer he sends a text through to me asking if i was ignoring him on purpose or something. If i don't reply to that, he texts my brother asking him to ask me to call him back. Now when i need help from him i can't get the mofo to answer his freaking phone or at the least send back a simple Y or N. I'm really thinking about just cutting my losses and deleting him from my cellphone. I can't count on him for anything.
A few years back my older brother was having a mental breakdown and he was going to blow himself away with a shotgun. Now he lives all the way down in Lexington Kentucky so his wife calls me asking me to help bring him home after spending the night at a loony bin; so i had to leave work early to drive down to help her. Normally after work i picked up my younger brother and sister from high school but having to rush down to Lexington i had to ask my "friend" to see if he could swing over there for me and do that. I even offered him 50 bucks cash when i got back home to do that for me and he said he didn't want to because he hates the traffic over there. Like WTF? Luckily one of the guys from my work said he'd drive them home because he lived over that way.
So does anyone have a "friend" like this?
