ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It's probably going to cost you more than $550 to build this one in the end. Specially if you want it to last any amount of time.

As for the $82 deal. There is probably a good reason they sold it to you for the price of scrap aluminum. Still a good deal though. The intake manifold and distributor would be worth way more than $80 if you were to sell them.

Have you looked at the cylinder walls or the condition of the pistons yet?

I wish you the best of luck with this build. Hopefully it isn't a money pit. However, most things related to automotive are just that.

OK well if you just so happened to have a fresh H23A1 block laying around. You sure could make yourself an H23A VTEC easy enough. Have the head checked out and slap that thing on the H23 block.

The head will fit, no need to change the upper plenum. The OBD1 H22A1 injectors will work better with the current OBD1 Accord resistor setup. Not sure about the distributor...I'm sure there is info in the swap stickies about doing an H22 swap.....

yes you do injectors are different and the rail 2 and the trhottle body have a map sensor so maybe change it for a h23 tb

The H23/P14 throttle body also has the MAP sensor mounted on top.

No need to swap throttle bodies because of the MAP sensor. You can use your existing firewall mounted MAP and leave the TB mounted MAP unplugged.

People are suggesting the H23A1 plenum(same as OBD-1 H22A/H22A1) because it uses a 2-wire IACV instead of the 3-wire on the OBD-2 plenum. If you can find one cheaply then it's just an easy way to make the IACV a plug and play ordeal into the factory harness.

Same thing with the injectors. It just makes them plug and play.

                              Also, you're going to need a P13.

Was the yard you got this from here in Houston? I got a JDM H22A this week from Houston Pull Your Part at their new location on W. Mt. Houston.
