ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm just debating weather they are worth it.

All the rims have some minor curb rash and me being me I would have to have them all repaired. It's 150 a rim to repair.

    So 500+600+400= 1500

And that's not including repairing the spare

Do the knock-off rims have dual lug patters? Like 4 and 5 lug? I know the legit ones do. If you can swing it, I'd buy both sets, just for fun.

I can afford both sets it's just that I would want them perfect and after repair I would be into it quite a bit of money.

I say get one set (I'd do the 17s) and get them fixed up perfectly.

You could always get both sets, keep one and then sell the other one for more and get profit

That's assuming he could sell it for more. It's a gamble when buying parts, especially if the condition is questionable. He may pay the asking price, and find that they're barely even worth that!

the numbers just do not make sense to me. If i only had to fix one rim then i would be all over it but the fact that all the rims lips have curb rash is what is stopping me. I can purchase a new set of these on ebay right now with tires for less then what i would spend to repair them all.

after repair and tires i would be into it at about 1500. and that is only repairing 4 rims and not the entire 5.

If you can get a new set (exactly the same) for less, then I'd say ditch this.

However, if by a "new set" means just a run of the mill (cheapo stuff) from your local tyre shop (in a package deal) then I say consider repairing them.

You may be close to spending the same getting a brand new (run of the mill) set or be a hundred over but hey you have the real deal.

I say I would rather be out of pocket by a little extra and get a real Tag Heuer swiss watch than pay only 70% and end up with a brand new knock off made in cheapo land (where quality is dubious).
