ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It's an engine with less emissions specifically made for states like California. It's for 6th generation accords. It's either an F23A4 or an R series. Though the valve cover makes me think its the F23A4.

I didnt know ULEV engines where made for our CB's well thats a surprise.

Great to see but not in the JY. Thats just sad.

A question.... if they are ULEV are they more fuel efficient than the regular F22 engine? If so by how much? Or is it mainly down to pollution gear?

Someone swapped that engin in there.

If this engine came from honda like that we would've known.

See that space right between the header heat shield and the upper radiator hose? That will tell you what engine it is.

it's not necessarily more efficient. It just doesn't pollute as badly.

                            Thanks.

Glad to know we can feed off these engines to power our CB's when our engine supplies dwindle.

Makes you wonder how many people do the 6th gen engine swap and if its more straight forward than a H22 and if the engine mounts, intake and exhaust just match up. I dont seem to hear or see this conversion.

Im assuming its a reflection there's still plenty of H22 and good oem F22aX engines around and that the level of involvement is close to fit a H22 since your still fitting in a Vtec engine (new computer/harness)?

It's roughly the same as fitting any other OBD2 H or F engine. We have 2 or 3 fairly active threads going in various parts of the forum about the F23A swaps at the moment.

It's not terribly common because the F23A isn't exactly a performer... and it takes about as much effort (and nearly as much cost) to install a much better H22A instead.
