ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Cb7 Master Key Exists

I just found out that there are indeed real keys that can open and START any of our cb7 with original keys and ignition.

I would reccomend kill switches or something.

has anyone else heard of these?

Yes they are. But the fact that the actual keys exist are what surprise me.

Just like the saying goes. "Master keys don't steal cars, people do."
i got that from the guns dont kill people btw.

There isn't really a master key... just a number of key grinds that are either identical, or very similar (and over the years, wear has caused them to work in other locks.)

A number of people here have been able to work other locks and ignition switches with their own keys. We used to try it at meets, though I never saw it happen in person. My key has never opened anyone else's car.

Who says that there is an actual "Master key"

Did you know that if a photo is taken of the key it can be reproduced?
Post up a photo, and then we can all copy it . . .

I know what you are talking about. and i know that is true because my key starts my dads cb7. but not any of the doors. But the key the asians had was Specially cut to open several different cars. It was not just an old worn key.

And i do not have access to the key. it is not mine. And posting a picture of it is the LAST thing i would do. giving the world access to any cb7 sounds like a BAD idea.

Knowing how a lock works i find this very unbelievable that 1 key could work multiple locks

Unless it could adjust or something

And i have seen a few times keys that work other cars that they are not for

My $150 accord and brown accord has very similar keys, the $150 accords keys could work the brown accord.

I found a key at the junkyard that lets me into my brothers civic

                  Think about it

                  every 1990-2002 honda accord
                  1992-2001 honda prelude
                  1995-2004 honda odyssey
                  1990-2001 acura integra
                  1992-1994 acura vigor
                  1997-2003 acura cl
                  1996-2003 acura tl
                  1991-2005 NSX

                  any maybe a few others

ALL used the same key blade, across every market. You have to imagine out there somewhere are a few cars with identical keys and locks.

I googled master keys. And i think what the asians have (no offense to asians) is a key that is cut very un-precisely so that it can work like a "jiggler" key.

funny story because i remember this happening, back in 2005 my dad had a 1992 accord EX, i was sitting in the passenger seat at a store when a lady pulled up with the same car 2 parking spots down. When she got out of the store she came to my car and didn't see me and opened our driver door with her key and we were like both like WTF... lol.

I remember one of my high school buddies had a "shaved" honda key. It worked for a few cars. You still have to jiggle but it would still work somehow.

When I got my key copied, the locksmith just looked up the numbers on my original key and cut the pattern. So a 4 digit number is unique 10,000 times... how many hondas are out there?
