CB7 Love takes your money !

my CB7 is almost ready. All i need now is timing, Brakes and routers, Sand/Paint and clutch master and slave cylinder.

And i am now out of money for the next 2 weeks.

everyones telling me to sell this car... i cant i just cant, this car really is amazing. my cb7 when i got it had so many things wrong with it i was told it was lucky it would even run.

Who else has had money, and rightfully gotten to $0.00 in there bank for there CB7 ?

Luckily i spent good money on the car up front so the amount of problems is very low. My car needs brakes all around and thats about it. I don't mind it that it needs brakes either because now i can finally upgrade them.

I assume you are young, single, probably don't pay rent or have bills (correct me if I am wrong). So in that sense it would be understandable to spent all your money on the car.

I would like to spend much more money than I do to get my car to where I want it sooner but the truth is that its usually the thing that end up getting the scraps from my checks. If anything my money goes to rent, bills, food,wife (if she needs it), fun for us, and finally fun for me which= the cb. Thankfully my girl also has a job and helps out a ton which alows me to spend more money on keeping both our cars maintained and every now and then splurge on replacing some old parts.

Point is if I'm correct about you then I envy you because you don't have to worry about prioritizing. If I'm wrong and you do have other priorities then you're doing it wrong or you have enough money to cover all that and then go to zero on your car which I can actually relate to.

If anything though it shows dedication to your car which is admirable.

i bought my cb as a hobby. Being married you need something to do to keep yourself sane. my cb doesnt make me broke but if something comes up the cb will just have to wait. if your young, spend the money now while you can because it wont last long lol

I have 2 dogs, 3 kids a GF (2 Cars as well and rent/bills) - I may be lucky if I spend 50 bucks on CB7.

well i am single but im in the navy so, i know exactly how much im going to make every 2 weeks no matter what, i live off base so my rent is really low. and... to be honest... i need a girl man just today i met this girl shes amazing.... and married . but i budget pretty good i think.

and the last of the repairs should only cost me about 1000 then a new chip and dyno and high flow cat should only be another 1000 then paint for only a little work left

I emptied my savings account to buy rims/tires for my CB. That was when I was like 16-17 I think. Had to start all over. Now I'm learning to spend money wisely on the car and balance it out.

If I had a girl though, it would probably be worse. Money in the car, money spent on her, leaves no money for me!

Where I get hit, is the whole "two way street" thing w/my wife.

I'm gonna buy another car, and she wants a $2500 washer and dryer. She thinks that's "fair"

Don't get me wrong, I need another car like I need another hole in my head. But I found a bb4 h22 prelude, 2nd owner for $2500 bux and so my wife "found" an LG washer/dryer in red to rival my enthusiasm.

Bullshit if you ask me. Old stuff works just fine. Last year when I bought my cb, she hit me for a chanel purse.

^^ that sucks man. My girl is very low maintenance so I think I lucked out. She rarely asks for anything and when she does its either because she doesn't have enough to cover a bill or its a special occasion I love it.

Also we keep eachothers money separate. What's yours is yours what's mine is mine type of deal and we occasionally share if need be. I honestly think that it gets rid of a lot of money issues in the relationship.

im realizing that im fixing so much on this car, its practiacly brand-new, hopefully it will last as such. and hopefully cb7tuner.com will be around to help with the problems that come. and now i want a damn bisimoto header >.<
