Has anyone done a purpose built f22xx vtec killer? i"m getting a 92 dx in mid november and it is going to be my project winter car for this coming summer. there is a bunch of dudes who go to meets by my house that have accords but none of them have a built sohc non vtec... i would prefer to do a n/a build but i really dont know if it is even realistic to ask that of this motor, to compete with dohc h22's and what have you. but doesnt that sound like a good idea? like hah u got raped by a sohc, that would have me stoked to find out after a run, that the dude won with a f22 he built up. idk after searching i havent found anything directly related to what im wondering and "planning" to do. i have pictures of the car and will put them up soon.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I've seen less and less Vtech at my store. We only have a few slots for them. They're getting crowded out by the other phones, like Panasonic and ATT.
I personally prefer Samsung for home phones, but then again, I haven't had a home phone in years!
I think Vtech also makes children's interactive learning toys.Deev and I are buds

Since you're talking about Honda engines, it's vtec not vtech.Originally posted by Mishakol129Do not disrespect my intelligence. I am the smartest person I know : )

Lovin this thread already. My family had this Vtech console game station for the kids to learn from, but didn't work so well. I'm pretty sure the price already dropped 50% since it was bad sales to begin with.
To answer the question, plenty of members here have built F22's that can kill H22's. When I had my cb with a H22, I went to the drag strip and I got beat by some guy with a F22. Not sure what he did to it, but he was running 14.3's in the 1/4 mile.

thanks "ender" i think having a purpose build rather than a swap, that really puts u on a whole other level is, for lack of a better word, cooler. cuz once you do the swap then its like ok well what are u going for? 1/4 mile time, etc etc or did you do it just to say u have a swapped accord? its kinda trendy to some people, atleast by my house. but what can i expect as a realistic whp? this car is going to be on a bi-weekly budget of about a $100 dollars, this will be my first build so its also going to be a great learning experience, as im keeping my accord that i have right now for my dd.

We have quite a few people on here... including the world-record holder for the fastest FWD N/A Honda (Bisimoto) It's nothing new. We all know that the F22A has amazing potential.
"VTEC Killer" refers to camshafts made for VTEC engines that eliminate the low-RPM lobes, essentially removing the VTEC function. A powerful non-VTEC motor is not a "VTEC killer"

Right i learned that thanks to youtube all i could find for awhile was cam vids.
That is a good point tho i only recently found out i was purchasing this car about a week ago, i got a new job and can finally afford to get it and make it my project, so alot of research and learning is in my future but honestly im stoked! just thought i would start a thread to get the ball rollingLast edited by brutalcb7; 10-08-2011, 01:11 AM.
