ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    93 accord LX w/ 53k original miles

I'm looking at this car here:

    http://jimnortontoyota.com/Tulsa-Okl...n-Car/2530231/

I was able to talk them down to 4800 but I'm not sure if it's a good deal or not.

    Carfax pulls clean, one owner.

It's at my mechanics shop now being looked over. What do you guys think?

I have a few pic's of the engine and interior if anyone is interested.

I checked the blue book and you could get it for $4,350.

I saw that on the nada guide. I considered the writing a check for about that much and saying "take it or leave it"

Here's two shots of the car:

Yeah, that's the way I see it. You can get a CB with 150k miles for less than half that price and still have a lot of usable life left in the car.

That car, that clean, I'd go for it! Just got to try and keep it as low mileage as it already is, sadly it would become a show car not a daily driver. All up to what you want it as long term. Leave as is, or modify...? Or hell, take it to a honda dealer in a few years when it reaches 25 years old, and they'll love you.

These cars have been poping up alot recently

I guess all the 60-70 year olds who bought them 20 years ago are dying or stopped driving.

These are the kind of cars that provide a perfect blank canvas to start modding, but at the same time, they are so clean and original that you don't want to ruin it.

The LX didn't come with a lip, nothing fishy about that at all.

It's a clean car and all, but for that kind of money, I'd personally buy something with higher mileage and build it. Low mileage is great up to a point. When a 20 year old car hasn't been driven much, you're looking at a lot of parts that haven't been used and are dried out and waiting to break on you (rubber in the suspension, seals in the engine, they look great now, but after you start driving, they start giving out). KBB is only 4350 at a dealer (as mentioned) and about 3500 from a private owner.

Yeah i bought a low mileage one 2 and a half years ago, and so far a few things have gone out on me. Just to name a few: BMC and my rad hoses went. As ^ mentioned it was an old lady that owned it and it just sat all the time
