Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Stock Muffler or not?

    Stock Muffler or not?

    The muffler i have now is rusted out. There is a 1" gap along the side of it all rusted out. I want to get a muffler that sounds cool, but I don't know if I want to get a new stock muffler or a big low tone sounding muffler. The one I was looking at is like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Muffler-Exhaus...7331601&sr=8-2
    I like the low sound, but I don't want people to think my car is really fast.

      That's the muffler I have on my car, except I got the whole exhaust on ebay. That is NOT what you're looking for. The only reason I got the exhaust is because my muffler was rotted too so I picked this up for cheap.

      I can't recommend a quieter muffler, I can just advise that you don't get that one.

          I like my Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler, I would recommend a complete cat back however, if the muffler is rotted the rest of the exhaust is bound to be rotted as well

            dynomax super turbo is pretty cheap and quiet.

            Or go to autozone and get an oem replacment one made by walker (dynomax).
            What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

            You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

              id recommend another sort. i know HKS mufflers are almost always good sounding. i got an HKS Sport on my ef and its beautiful idk if they make em for cb7s

                i don't know if hks makes a muffler for our cars but i'm sure you can get a universal muffler from them. i had a greddy axle back they discontiuned a long time ago. i like it. but i wold recomend apexi ws2
