ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

i almost bought a Lexus es300 but i was short a grand ...i never really had interest in my cb it was just a car i needed to get me to work and back ...the inside and outside pain was shit luckily i worked as a manager at Turtle Wax and we washed cars, detailed and even had our own oil change facility. So fortunately i was able to detail my interior as well as my exterior. the best thing was the day after i bought it i took the plates of my ex's cobalt and took i to work (there was a huge snow storm coming) so i closed down the store and me and a friend of mine changed out and flushed all the fluids until they were pristine. after that i loved my cb but not until i after 3 years of owning it i came across this site then i fell in love all over again. But man if i knew about this site when i first got the car i would have swapped it and had lots of mods to late now.....i'm married now and i don't as much money as i use to

i grew up with a cb7. My mom had a 91 LX sedan that stayed with me for 6 years. Then it got stolen... twice.

I was too young to want but I didn't mind owning one when I found mine and because of this site, I've learned to love these cars.

I remember seeing them all the time when I was small. Loved how they looked and the body styling. So one day when I was like in the 5th grade my uncle goes and get a 92 accord the front had been wreked but that dont mean a thing to a cb guy. So few weeks later I help him put a new front end on it. The car already had h and r lowering springs catback exhaust and some 17in konig rims. I loved the car and seeing it lowered like that made me love it more. And one day I said im own one. Well my uncle sells the car to my dad. My dad gets tired of the car and wants to sell it so I bought and its my car now.

In high school, senior yr, 2004, everybody had a civic or a crx of some sort. I refused to own a honda because of it, was sicking in my eyes, really.

First car I looked into was a 95 galant, all decked out, alloys, leather, sun roof, spoiler, needed a clutch so I didn't want it, a young buck in our tech class said his cuzin was selling a honda. She wanted like 1500 for it.

I told him ill check it out, he said a 1990 lx coupe, so I went online and found a pic of a 90 coupe, at first I was like eh its ok w/e.

I had no idea wat it looked like, a 4th gen accord.

Went and seen it, started it up, it sounded nice, had a hole in muffler, she revved it a few times I drove it once, and I was hooked! So roomey for a 2 dr.

I guess u can say I bought it cuz it sounded nice.

Anyways got it for 700 with dupont white paint, which I still have in my basement.

I don't no if car paint goes bad, have sealer and all.

About 2 years later I found this forum and was hooked ever since.

I originally wanted a 3rd generation accord, the hatchback to be exact. It looked very much like a trueno (ae86). I've seen a blackout one on the 3geez.com forum.

But, the interior turned me off. Too boxy and old looking.
I then started looking into 4th gens. And that's where I stumbled and joined this site in Oct 04 as nocturnal cb7.

Yes, quite a lot has changed. At first I didn't see the car as a performance styled car. I just wanted big blinging rims and tint. I sold the 4dr to get a coupe. A much sleeker sportier look.

Oh how my views changed since then.

Back in my younger days, I used to be anti Honda. Hated everything to do with Honda, mostly due to the whole ricer scene in the early 2000s, and then after working for, and having bad experiences with Honda factories, I didn't want to support them.

However, I always had a dirty little secret called CB7s,CD5s,Integras,CRXs and Preludes.

I bought my first Honda in 2009, and now I'll drive anything with a Honda emblem. I turned to the dark side and opened up a whole new world of awesome that I was missing out on. It's amazing what you find when you open your mind a little.

I never took too much of a notice to them. My mom picked up the one I currently own a couple years back and it was one of the cars that I learned to drive a manual on. Then it was wrecked and I stepped in to buy it and fix the damage so I would have a reliable dd while I parked and worked on dropping my pickup. But as fate would have it a month after I got the cb drivable I totaled my truck.

If I hadn't stumbled onto this site though, I'd probably have a lot of pepboys "mods" all over it.

The CB7 is a logical progression for me. I loved the CB7 before I got one. I grew up in a Honda family. I was most likely driven home at birth in a Honda, as my Dad bought his first Honda Civic new in 1976 replacing a Triumph TR4 he had driven a quarter million miles. He traded the 76 for a new 1981 Civic thinking a car with 150,000 miles would need expensive repairs before long. The 81 was totalled in 87, and he bought a string of used Hondas. A 78 Accord needed a couple of engines because of faulty headgaskets. A 76 Civic wagon needed lots of attention and stranded us frequently. He spent a little more and picked up a 1984 hatchback Accord around 1990 with 110,000 miles. That car still started and burned almost no oil after I wrecked it in 2006 with 237,000 miles.
Then came a string of Camrys.
The Camrys lacked style and performance. And were somewhat less sturdy. They have finally been replaced with a ULEV 1999 Accord, and since they wanted to get a car for me, I told them I wanted a CB7.
I had at least 2 cars after the 84, and none ever really felt like a replacement for that Honda.
From what I observed about the CB7 (not knowing it was called a CB7), it seemed really reliable, potentially sporty and good on gas. I also always liked the look of the car, WAY more then the 5th gen Accords.
My 1984 was an awesome car, but it was rudimentary in some ways. Like a really reliable 5 speed, 86 horse go-kart. My parents 99 is comfortable to the point of feeling like a sterilized rental car. In fact I think it originally was a rental car. I like the 6th gen body more than 5th gen, but I feel they are the beginning of an era of less exciting Hondas. Also I don't trust the auto transmissions in the newer cars.
The CB7 is the most modern car I will be happy with. After this it is public transit and bicycles for me. Hopefully I can always have a CB7 lying around. I feel the CB7 is as solid as can be in the mid size unibody category of vehicle.
While I used to pride myself in driving dented, rusted, paymentless, dorky automobiles while my friends drove G35s and GTis and 335s, The CB7 is a reliable car I can afford that I actually care about appearance wise. I find myself being more cautious in parking lots....no more hitting shopping carts on purpose.
The CB7 feels like an upgraded version of my beloved 1984 Accord with all of the soul plus some of the refinement of a more expensive (but less appealing) car.

As most of you I never had a love for Honda because of all the "A" holes all over with Civics etc. always causing trouble. I drove a 92 Saturn Coupe that lit on fire and blew up, so after that I couldn't afford a new car at the time.

One day I was looking on freecycle.org and saw an ad for a FREE 1992 Honda Accord. He said the engine was blown but that was it. I wrote him and out of the thousand reply's he picked me because I was courteous!

Anyway, got the car, and LOVED it! Found out it was only a blown head gasket and warped head, fixed it myself and rebuilt everything else, It has been the best car I have ever owned\driven. I will have it for a LONG time
