ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    bzo wheels?

has anyone heard of bzo wheels? i cant find any reviews on them. any info would be great! thanks.

I never heard of them. They look like they have original designs, judging by their website (which has the most godawful techno music playing... ugh...) so that's a good thing. There are SO many cheap knockoff companies around these days that anytime I hear a brand name I don't recognize, I expect to see the usual crappy replica designs.

Anyway, they seem decent, but their designs look way flashy for a CB7... Unless you have a crazy show car, I don't imagine any of those looking very good. That's really just my opinion, though.

The company is American, but it appears that their wheels are made in China. At least the aluminum is... most likely the whole manufacturing process occurs there, though:

Chinese products aren't known for the highest quality...

I never heard of them either. While I do buy things from Hong Kong, they are aways products that are not Chinese made, and are just being sold at cost with minimal markup. Like my Euro R Recaro seats, or my Focal component speakers. Nothing against the Chinese, but they don't have to adhere to the strict safety standards and close tolerances that other countries need to. For example, I could buy a chinese made traction bar that looks just like ESP's for much cheaper, but I wouldn't feel safe with that thing on my car. Just like I'd personally have a hard time buying a set of rims to autocross with from a country other than Japan or the US.

If they're just for looking better than stock, go for it. If you plan on racing or cornering hard etc, maybe think twice.

Just make sure the rims you get from the US or Japan are actually made in those countries (I'd trust German as well... and the Desmond Regamaster Evo, also called the Spoon SW388, was made in Russia...)

Many companies, such as this BZO, may outsource their production to countries that have little quality assurance.

Very true. I was speaking from my own perspective, there are many good wheel brands out there, personally my favs are from Japan, made in Japan. It's when you come across a wheel brand that not many people have heard of that you need to do some research before buying. A good rule of thumb is that when buying new, if the price is cheap, the wheel is cheap.

I won't even justify that question with an answer here. If you have questions like that, PM the member.

the reason i was asking is because i found this ad on craigslist and the wheels looked half decent.

and as you stated earlier about outsourcing you were right. i guess they outsource in a couple places like phillippines and china. but they are also "ISO 9001, TUV, JWL & JAWA CERTIFIED" so i guess there okay?

and the price is as much rota's, but from some research i was doing i guess the same people that produce bzo rims also produce rota, konig and drag.

rota and drag are cheap-shit knockoff brands as well. Konig is a bit better, but still not great (I currently have Konigs on my work car, because they were cheap, and they've taken quite a beating...)
