Do you know how to rebuild a rotary engine?
MOST people have no idea how to maintain a rotary, and they tend to need a rebuild after about 100k. Therefore, a 25 year old RX-7 is going to need some major restoration. If you're up to the challenge (and can put up with the bitching), grab it... BUT, it's not going to be a simple project. I thought about picking up an FC myself. Almost did. Would have, if the paint wasn't crappy (it had a shoddy blue paint job covering the original red... I liked the blue, but it was flaking off in places, exposing red... made me wonder what else was halfassed!)

Rotaries are actually quite simple (when I was looking to buy one, I watched the video series on Youtube that shows you how to rebuild one.)
The only problem is that NOBODY knows how to maintain them. I love asking people selling RX-7s if they burn any oil. 80% of them say "nope! doesn't burn a drop!"
Rotaries are SUPPOSED to burn oil!
