ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Ready For The Swap !!

Soo I'm ready to go ahead and do the H22 Swap on my CB7 ! I just need to find a good JDM Dealer to buy from . I live in Charleston, SC and the closet dealer is about 6 hours away so I have no choice but to get it shipped . I've narrowed my choices down to 3 dealers :
    JDM Engine Zone
    Tiger Japanese
    JDM Engine Corp .
Have any of you bought a motor from any of these 3 or know someone who has ?? OR could recommend me to another dealer ??
    Please help !!

I've heard bad things about Tiger Japanese.

hmotorsonline.com is pretty reputable around here. I'd definitely look into that website. Their engines are generally more expensive, but it's likely worth the expense if the engines are trouble-free.

Tiger Japanese has gotten a bad reputation.
And since they are located in Toronto, ON (Canada),
if you had issues, they would be hard to resolve legally.

Personally I have known myself and multiple people to have bad engines with tigers japanese.
I do not blame my rod knock on them now that I know the H23 is not good for adding
boost to stock crankshaft. But, I forget who it was, prcb7 I think, had a broken crankshaft
upon initial inspection of his engine after delivery, not just broken but snapped in half.

Hopefully that clarifies some issues, and helps you with a decision.

I'm from the Toronto area and my mechanic and all the CB7 guys here say Tiger is crap, and a lot of there engines are crap. Never had any personal experience with them though. From what I've heard hmotorsonline.com seems to be the most reliable.

I don't have experience of purchasing multiple motors from different vendors. I did have a great experience from hmotorsonline.com. I live in NC and it only took 10 business days to get from CA to NC. It all boils down to you get what you pay for.
