ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

          Auto = yuck.
          FWD = yuck.
          Heavy as shit = yuck.
          High mileage (though not a bad price.)
          Rebuilt engine... why? Ask who rebuilt it... hopefully a shop that knows Volvos, and not some kid in his garage!

          Overall, not bad... but it's less sporty than a CB7. Volvos are still really nice cars, though. As long as you're not expecting to have an easy time of making into a monster tuner car, you'll enjoy a nice ride. Especially if it's actually in really good shape.

              whats wrong with the tranny? i thought mine was out on my wagon but it was just the silinoids on the tranny that were dead.... switch them out and if that dont work then u might need a tranny.... i got lucky i didnt have to spend 800 on a tranny.....

                Volvos are ok if you can deal with the fact that they dont handle well and are expensive to maintain. It is possible to make a volvo absolutely rape in a straight line though. IIRC that model is similar to an 850 wagon.

                    Yeah, if that's all you want it for, then it's perfect, as long as it's in good shape. I had a 92 940GL (non-turbo, auto... slow as balls.) It was very comfortable, and parts to repair it weren't crazy. The aftermarket existed, but was slim. I "sold" it to a "friend" (I won't go into detail there... irrelevant) because I needed newer for my job. It didn't have working heat (and it was wintertime), and the transmission was acting up. However, the build quality was amazing. Materials were top notch. It was comfortable. Looked great.

                    But yeah, that rebuilt engine will make or break that deal. If it wasn't done right, it could break on you VERY quickly. I mean, an engine rebuild usually costs about as much as what they're asking for that entire car, so either the rebuild happened quite a while ago, or there are other problems that aren't worth fixing.
