Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

93 accord swap for LS1 engine

    93 accord swap for LS1 engine

    i was wondering if i could fit a corvette LS1 engine into 93 cb7 and also convert from auto to manual trans after ls1 swap?

        You'd pretty much be building a tube frame around the V8, and creating a RWD setup from scratch. Aside from looking like a CB7, there won't be much CB7 left to the car when you're done. You also won't have to convert to manual... you'd already have hacked everything automatic right out. You could rebuild it any way you wanted.

            Alternatively be a man -- put a blown 460 in it with some go juice.



            Or more realistically, buy a car with a full frame, adjust the wheelbase to match the CB7, and then set the CB7 on top of the frame and bolt it all together.

                  I think more often than not if you are asking this kind of question, you have a lack of understanding or ability sufficient enough that the project will be incredibly difficult, if not impossible for you to complete at this point in time.

                  It is either going to cost an incredible amount of money to have it done professionally, or you had better be good at fabricating parts, welding, and problem solving, not to mention have the ability to go search out solutions in books, online, and elsewhere without much assistance from others. The size of the task you are asking about is practically the same as building a car from scratch.

                  Why exactly do you want to put a LS1 into a CB7?

                      it would be easier to put in a baja bug or sandrail and a hell of a lot more fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                        There are other, much easier options for a V8 swap. Lighter options, too... like a 1st gen Miata, or a Chevette (if you can find one that hasn't rotted away yet.)

                              yea you can do it lol but why? lol you would have a vette in a cb body,
                              might as well just buy i vette and put your shell on it haha. my 2 cents
