Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    CareLess Driving ticket?!?!?!

    I was sitting at a red light here in NJ where it's legal to make a right on red. I had enough room to pull out so I did. This car carrier all of a sudden started slamming thru gears behind me. I was like oh shit he's not gonna stop so I start beepin the horn and stop. He pulls right up next to me and stares so I flip him the bird(duh im from NJ)
    A fucking cop(dickbag) pulled us both over. He asked me why he pulled me over and I didnt know why..lol...I said it legal to make a right on red. He told me I gave a rude gesture to the trucker. I was like yeah man its a fucking huuuuge truck that just almost creamed my poor little Subaru. He thought I was being rude. Came back and told me he could have given me a ticket for blocking traffic(traffic was stopped and i wasnt) using rude gestures(you can get a ticket for this???) and something else..idk I was flippin.
    He gave me and the truck driver a careless driving ticket...thing that sucks tho is that i have not been pulled over in a year and i was just about to get done with my driving probation..I really have been trying hard and if you have ever drivin with me then you know i love to drive fast. So now i might lose my shit for 30 days or less...I will still drive tho because no one else in my house hold has a license so I do all the driving.
    I guess I just have to go to court and explain the situation and add in a little stress here and there..sob story..they might let me pass with a bigger fine. I respect cops but man I wish they would maybe work at taking Heroin of the streets rather then making this situation worse. The trucker and I both would have just driven away and that would have been it.

    Man, that sucks!

    I've heard you can get a ticket for giving the finger. I've been told (I haven't confirmed it) that if you actually put your arm out of the car, it can be considered an attack or something... like, just as bad as if you pulled over, got out of the car, and tried to fight someone!

    I'm glad no cops ever saw me... I unleash a flock of birds every day!

        Deeve you just made this section funny without having the thought of how the hell can people be that stupid. I have to say this is kinda funny, I mean I sorta feel bad, but if your gonna give somebody the one finger salute, look around first.

          wait wait wait...

          you are on driving probation? How do you get driving probation? Sounds like habitual offenses to me.

          Ok so I agree with you though OP...however...two very important things I have learned.

          1. Do NOT lose your cool with law officers or judges or law clerks. Even if you are shit pissed and well within your rights...stay calm.
          2. Do NOT bullshit/disrespect them.

          A for instance...if you know the speed limit is 50 and you were doing 60...do not say "Uh...fifty five?" when he asks you if you know the speed limit...that is a guaranteed ticket...I know. Not that being honest will keep you from getting a ticket...but losing cool, bullshitting/disrespecting (lying is disrespect btw) WILL get you a ticket. But hey...it is not a guilty verdict right? Just says you gotta go to court

          Of course the second is NOT YOUR SITUATION from what you wrote. I think losing your cool (though again understandable) was what did you in. Still...I do not see how the cop gave you a ticket...and especially the ticket he gave you. Most likely that ticket the cop gave has nothing to do with your driving but the flipping displays...since he gave each of you an identical charge.

          Flipping someone off does nothing...the person you flip off NEVER goes..."oh wow...I was a jackass there...I am such a IDIOT!"

          Fight it in court man...

            driving probation is another convenient way to ask a judge for leniency. you do not get it for multiple offenses. but the catch for the probation is that if you get ticketed for the SAME offense that you went to the judge in the first place then you wind up paying two times the amount of the first ticket plus the price of the new ticket, other things may occur also, like forced drivers ed, or an additional driving probation with even steeper penalties et cetera...

            i had a 6 month probation for a turn signal violation; i recieved that ticket when i was pulled over doing 15 over on the highway. like you said above me, the cop asked me how fast i was going and asked me what the speed limit was. i told him both answers correctly. i also explained i woke up ten minutes earlier and was 5 minutes from being late to class. he let me off with a turn signal violation which he explained that talking to the judge would get me 6 month probation, and that waived all ticket/court costs. the officer did suggest that i take it easy and be more responsible, and to keep my drivers liscense on my person as well, (left it at home)--ALWAYS remember your drivers liscense number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            personally i have been pulled over at least 13 times, 6 times speeding, only 3 tickets, only ever paid for one

            anyway if you are respectful to the the officers that have pulled you over, and do not lose your cool they CAN be very reasonable.

            or maybe i just live in san antonio and we have nice officers

              I'll explain.

              I didn't drive for at least 4 years because I didnt have a car in general and I lived in the city. I had 8 points on my license from before. I moved back to the sticks and bought a car and found out that NJ is one of the only states that don't continue to take points off your lisence even if you dont have insurance. They told me that a lot of people drive cars without insurance so we just keep the points on until you get coverage again then we start the process of taking points off again.
              So I bought a Subaru Outback then the CB7, got a ticket with the CB7 and they told me that I could take a suspension or I could go to a class which I did and then try and be safe for a year which I almost did..I think I was maybe 2 weeks away from making a whole year without getting pulled over at all.
              I wasn't a dickhead to the cop and I'm not a noob so it's not like I flipped out on him at all. The whole problem was the fact that a fucking tractor-trailer almost hit me...so idk bout you but thats not one of the things i want to almost happen..lol.
              I will fight it because I always fight my tickets and I will try to explain my actions. I do learn from my mistake and maybe I did overeact to the trucker but still does that warrent a careless driving ticket which carries 2 points? No, I don't think so maybe just a warning. The thing that sucks is that I'm the only one in my family that drives right now so idk what I'm going to do. If I do lose it then it will most likely be for a very short amount of time....ug but my shit will go up so bad..damnit!!! lol.

                  i have been pulled over 10 times 2 times i got a ticket both for speeding one was 69 in a 55 at 2 o clock in the morning and i was out of state he was a dick and the other time i was doing 47 in a 25 he was nice and wrote it down so it did go on my record most of the time they will let you go with a warning this last time i got pulled over was for doing a burnout he said he seen me do it but i was over a block away from where i did it when he came in veiw where he could see it and wrote me a warning for wreckless driving i had a knife on my dash board from cutting wires and my phone went off and i went to turn it off and he thought i was going for the knife and he went to pull his gun after tht he was just a dick and i was less then a half ablock from my house
