ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

At least they linked to the proper thread... But yeah, I HATE responses like that. If you're not going to answer the question, don't respond! Telling someone to search is idiotic... all that does is result in 10 threads that say nothing but "search" when someone actually DOES search!

We do our best to answer the questions. I try to set a proper example. I mean, there are times when I refuse to spoon feed someone... but that's usually after I've answered their initial question, and they decide to continue pumping me for more answers that I KNOW they hadn't bothered searching for.

Usually, if I know the info is located in a "sticky" thread, I'll just tell someone to go look for it, and tell them where to find it. Rather than feeding them a link, I'm teaching them how to navigate the site.

As for 6th gens... they're some of the better looking Accords (coupes especially, IMO...) but some of the worst in terms of build quality, both mechanically and cosmetically. My ex and I bought a 2002 SE before we split, and it just felt SO cheap. The interior was no nicer than the 95 Civic LX that we traded in for it. The CB's build quality and materials are superior. Honda was starting to slip a bit in those days. They have since wised up, thankfully!

I will EVENTUALLY start a 6th gen forum... it will be based on the same model that CB7tuner and CD5tuner are based on, so you KNOW it'll be better than that crap!

hate hate HATE, the interior, love the trunk space of the sedan, love the working space for the 4cyl. just helped my friend do a timing belt job, and it was interesting that we were able to do most of the work from above the motor bay.

as far as starting a 6th gen forum, as long as your running it, it should be awesome

thanks deev and staff for a great site

honestly I do not see these flagrant errors with www.6thgenaccord.com. I mean...in relation to cb7tuner.com maybe...but...come on...is that really a fair comparison? There are many many WAY worse forums for those accords though...how many I stumbled through before I got to that one I cannot count.

As for the "SEARCH YOU NOOBASS"...well cb7tuner is the ONLY forum I have EVER come across that is as adamant as they are to NOT say "SEARCH NOOBASS" and will actively ban people who refuse to help and only say...search...you noobass. I love that about this site...but it is very very rare. It is something you have to accept when on a forum...unless it is cb7tuner.

KB7Acoord...have you brought those issues to the admins/mods on 6th gen...or did you just make a post on this forum complaining about another forum...with no intent to help that other forum improve? Why not help them out a little...until Deev makes his own of course . Of course it depends on how they chose to set their forum up, cb7tuner is HIGHLY organized in relation to other auto sites.

I hate 6th gen interiors too. They look very juvenile to me for some reason, and unless they are black/grey they usually have incredibly ugly colors. If I ever bought one, it would have to have the black/grey interior, a 2nd gen CL/TL cluster swap, automatic climate control and an aftermarket double DIN touch screen unit. That's just for me to even get in the car.

Messes me up, cause I like the 6th gen's exterior, but I like the TL/CL's interior. A 6th gen with a CL interior (dash + seats) would be perfect. I wonder if that could work

I have barely scratched the surface on the other site, and while i have visited the site a few times to do some research for my friend, i have never looked at the diys. my first look at the diy threw me for a loop. here a diy requires instructions, there not so much. after i finnish reading the rules and checking out the first three pages of every topic then maybe ill send a pm to "Wildman".
this thread is just showing my first thoughts.
i will probably wind up suggesting that they make a regional section on their forum as their "meets and events" section looks incredibly unorganized; meets and events

hey btw have you found the feature in the bottom left corner that kinda inverts the colors of the 6th gen forum? makes it look like i am home on here; black background with blue lettering. now that is an awesome feature

This is .02 about 6G accords

Sedan = Reincarnated CB7 with CD features and looks like a grandma car!!
Coupe = the 5G Prelude that never was, yes it may have carried a optional V6 but didn't compare to what lude had to offer, despite the lesser head room inside of the prelude.

my only real complaint about the 6th gen is the sloppy handling. regular braking and turning can sometimes feel like you're doing an emergency maneuver. they weight about 2-300 lbs more than the cb, but it feels like more.

otherwise, i like driving mine. it's roomy inside and comfortable. it has more room under the hood to work (4cyl.) on and it's just as easy if not easier to work on than my 4th gen.

to me, it's a perfect daily driver if your not interested in modifying it. later.

well it wasnt hard at all, a little hard to find, but i read the rules, and im shocked, theres not much, and there is only one spot the rules are posted on the 6th gen site

                        the rules

here there are rules posted in nearly every section, and they are very detailed; here if you get banned, i am almost certain you will know why you got banned, there im not so sure.

heres something interestig that i found
the fastest auto on that forum has a 0-60 in 8.3 seconds
                        the fastest manual is 6.0
                        0-60 sticky thread
are their cars THAT hard to modify? i cant be sure but i bet there are cars on our forum that can break the 5 second mark

edit**** i looked back at the thread on the 0-60, the first post has not been updated since 2007. super lame, if you are going to make a thread that becomes a sticky and looks like its going to rank the top 0-60 cars, then you should update it regularily.

                        like this thread of ours

but that brings me to one suggestion for here, we should start a 0-60 thread, or maybe someone can revive the old one if it exists...
                        my quick search for it
