ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

All this H and F Series, What about the B's?

Has anyone ever thought about maybe dropping a B20 vtec or maybe a B18a/b/c, or maybe a b16a/b in a cb7?

I'm not planning on doing this myself, unless I found a way to mount a B series in a cb, and found a b series vtec for a fair price. What's everybody's thoughts on this idea?

Lets talk, boost? nitrous? mean vtec power...

I've noticed that for what most people pay for a nice H swap, they could've bought a b18b or something, and boosted it, getting close to twice the hp over the H Series swap...

    IDK, just thinking out loud...

h22's drop in, b series doesn't. therefore, you will end up spending way more to have a b series with no extra benefits. later.

        fair enough.

        Well what about K's then?

I'd love to be rollin' around in my cb with a K24a2 under the hood...lolz

and I'm pretty sure you can get the motor mount kit for a K Series that fit in a cb...

        Not totally certian though.

i kid you not, when i was 16 i called up this shady shop down in the southside chicago and asked them if they do h22 swaps on 1992 honda accords.
they first replied, "H22??... They fit?"
i said, " ummmm what do you guys do then?"
they replied, " yea we dont do that, we do b16, b18 on accords."

i said thanks for your time and hung up. so im guessing its quite possible with a little time and money.

K series is a respectable swap, its a large displacement motor, for your heavy body.
A K24 block with a K20 Civic Si head is a monster, no mods lol

See a B series doesnt have the size you need to get your almost 2ton car moving.
If you spend $750 on an H22 and drop it in, you have instant performance.
Now a B series, Buy the engine, mounts, tranny, convert to rod/link, sometimes cable clutch.

Its totally not worth it. Possibly a ITR tranny on your H22 in a CB might be worth it.

more doable. still a little pricey, but hasport makes a mount kit for it. a few have done it.

Kind of ironic that a k swapped car has a sticker on the window that says lowcashracing.
