ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

        Im a cheap bastard..

        The CB - $0
Initial maintenance to get it running - $45

        Audio - $285
ADR 17x7 GT Sports and GeneralTire UHP Exclaim tires - $280
*NEW* Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust - $125 (not installed, need a cat or test-pipe)
        A4 header+DP, A6 cam+springs, H23 IM w/functional IABs, PT6 ECU - $115
92-93 Front and Rear Bumpers - $75 (not installed, need paint)
DIY Blackhoused Headlamps w/Yellow tinted Highs - $15
        New Alternator w/lifetime warranty- $100

Routine Maintenance - ~$375 give or take..

        Total Cost - $1415

When i was fifteen i replaced the heads on an old chrysler mini-van (v-6 FWD, terribly engineered) with my pops, for an old friend of his. He ended up not having the cash to pay us.. we were about to leave, hoping he'd find a way to make payment sooner than later, when my father and i both noticed a car shaped lump of leaves and yard debris. The guy said, "oh yeah...its an old honda". My interest was peaked immediately. Im serious when i say that it was a car shaped lump of leaves.. not a square inch was visible till i wiped away the debris. Under it all was a 1990 DX coupe in Laurel Blue Metallic. We accepted it as payment, towed it home that day, fixed a few ignition problems in the days to come...and have been driving it ever since.

All aftermarket parts, except for the alternator, were bought either through CL or friends...and all at incredible prices.

Magnaflow set-up was still in the box but the guy didn't want or need it since he was a truck guy and only had the kit cuz someone gave it to him in place of the money he owed him.

ADR's and GT tires were a STEAL at 280 bones... Retail value is about $1000-1200. Rims are almost immaculate and tires were BRAND NEW. The guy was hard-up for cash to change a thrashed wheel bearing on his EG.

DIY'd my headlights. Had some rustoleum layin' around and nabbed some tint from a friend of a friend, who was actually a dick, so wutev..

A1 to A6 conversion parts were bought mostly from you guys. So thanks for that...

All in all i think i've done quite well. Im barely $1400 into my CB and its been over 7yrs since we've been together.

        It's a beautiful thing..

Nada, I got it from my mom when she bought a newer accord, but left me with a lot of tune-ups and work to do to it to get it running good. It's nice though she bought it brand new in 92' in California so I know all the repairs and maintenience that has gone into this car.
