ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

They are nice enough cars. Not corvette engines though (cam, heads, pistons are different to name afew).

LT1's are nice except when the water pump starts to leak it leaks directly onto the opti-spark distributer which kills it in short fashion.

    It's a nice drunk/tow vehicle, comfy ride.

One of the better 90s GM vehicles. It's not exactly a Corvette engine, but related. It's like saying the 160hp K20 in the EP is comparable to the 220hp K20 in the RSX-S. Related, but not the same!

The Roadmaster is a HUGE car, weighing over 2 tons, I believe. (a CB7 plus 33&#37. Fuel economy would be awful with such a large vehicle.
Additionally, I'm told that changing the spark plugs on that engnie is an ordeal.

However, for $1200, if it's in good condition... not a bad find. I've condisered one of those myself (Roadmaster, Caprice, Olds Custom...)

A friend of mine just picked one up a few months back. Absolutely wonderful car to drive and ride in. Just like driving a big couch around and it does have some balls.

However, the downside is that it is so huge it's hard to park anywhere and gas milage is not its strong point.

From what I have heard, the 350 in it is a slightly detuned version of the Vette engine. Some however, did actually have the Vette engine in them. They are hard to find, but they are out there. Seen a couple in person.

The Impala SS had the Vette engine in it... and it's basically the same car. I'm not sure if the Roadmaster came stock with it, but it would be a very easy thing to swap over.

yes the 1994 - 1996 has the same engine as the corvette, just minus the aluminum heads and 40hp. So 260hp. The Opti-spark is the weak point. Otherwise nice car.
