...Nitrous Oxide that is
Im curious to see how many of our fellow CB7tuner members run nitrous oxide, as well what kind of setup you have, what shot size, and supporting modifications etc.
It seems there are a few members here that run nitrous oxide. I know alot of people think that nitrous is dangerous, bad for your engine, or even "cheating"... but honestly its one of the best ways to make power on a budget, and can really be quite reliable and safe for those of us that know how to use it properly and responsibly!
Ive been running a Holley NOS brand wet nitrous system on my F22A1 for a year or so and I love it (currently jetted at a 75HP shot). I built my engine last winter, and am using Arias forged pistons 8.2:1 CR, forged rods, and had full machine work done to the block and head to have a reliable setup. My electrical mainly just consists of an arming switch, and WOT switch, although I will be getting a window-switch soon to simplify things (and prevent me from spraying too early ). Here in Wisconsin, its a little tough to find a place to fill up, but I have a guy fairly local to me who has his own fill station. I pay $3.50 a pound, which is an awesome price.
So all of you CB7 guys (and girls!) out there running nitrous, chime in, I'd love to hear what your setup consists of, and what you think of it, and why you chose nitrous!
Thats an old pic of my car before it was painted, but you get the idea!
------ Mods and Deev: hopefully this thread is OK in off-topic section. Its not really intended to be a technical thread, just want to see whos all out there, and I dont want to post-whore since im under 30 posts lol thanks -Preston
