ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Who's got gas?

    ...Nitrous Oxide that is

Im curious to see how many of our fellow CB7tuner members run nitrous oxide, as well what kind of setup you have, what shot size, and supporting modifications etc.

It seems there are a few members here that run nitrous oxide. I know alot of people think that nitrous is dangerous, bad for your engine, or even "cheating"... but honestly its one of the best ways to make power on a budget, and can really be quite reliable and safe for those of us that know how to use it properly and responsibly!

Ive been running a Holley NOS brand wet nitrous system on my F22A1 for a year or so and I love it (currently jetted at a 75HP shot). I built my engine last winter, and am using Arias forged pistons 8.2:1 CR, forged rods, and had full machine work done to the block and head to have a reliable setup. My electrical mainly just consists of an arming switch, and WOT switch, although I will be getting a window-switch soon to simplify things (and prevent me from spraying too early ). Here in Wisconsin, its a little tough to find a place to fill up, but I have a guy fairly local to me who has his own fill station. I pay $3.50 a pound, which is an awesome price.

So all of you CB7 guys (and girls!) out there running nitrous, chime in, I'd love to hear what your setup consists of, and what you think of it, and why you chose nitrous!

Thats an old pic of my car before it was painted, but you get the idea!

------ Mods and Deev: hopefully this thread is OK in off-topic section. Its not really intended to be a technical thread, just want to see whos all out there, and I dont want to post-whore since im under 30 posts lol thanks -Preston

Cold Fusion wet kit, 50 shot for now, arming switch, WOT switch. Haven't sprayed her yet, (it's been winter in Ohio).
Stock block with an Exospeed stage 1 cam, IHE. Car weighs in about 3150 with me and the stereo equipment, some fuel , etc and goes through the traps in the mid 15s, I put down about 163 whp off the juice (depending on atmospheric conditions).

Bottle does have a lean to it.

I personally went with n2o because it was the cheapest, least complicated and safest major power adder for the engine.

$3.50 a lb is fantastic. Jeg's is charging me $5, but when the tracks are open, there's a couple of people selling at some of the smaller tracks for as little as $3.

Even if you can't post there yet, you should be ble to view the n2o section in the big kids area.

Good thinking... this is a good spot for it.

I want to get nitrous in the future. I had a used kit without a bottle, but I traded it before I bothered trying to install it. I'm thinking I'll do a Zex dry 50 shot. Just a little extra, without needing to do anything serious to the engine.

visualpoet I like your setup . Simple and effective! I wish I would have mounted my solenoids where you did. I mounted mine on the back firewall because the fuel line in my NOS kit wouldnt stretch far enough. It works but its a bit cramped.

Nitrous is the way to go Deev! Well actually its just alot of fun. The Zex kit of course is good for a worry-free system (as long as your injectors are in good shape, since its a dry kit), and if your plans are to stay with a small shot size, then thats the way to go. Now is that nitrous system going to go on the CB7... or the Fit?

Thanks, I personally wanted them a little closer to the TB, (I'm still within the limits of what the instructions said), but that made them a bitch to mount and hindered getting my arms down into that part of the bay when I need to. If I redo it all, I'll probably tuck them onto the firewall and hide the injector, make it a little less obvious.
