ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Rain X - On Wheels ?

I put this in the beginner's off topic because this is a very
retarded question... But I was thinking about it this morning on
    the shitter.

I use Rain-x on my windows, and I have always loved the way it
works. Now my question is... Can I use it on my rims? Not the tires,
but the actually rim itself. When it rains, all the dirt from the road, and
the rain mix makes the rims look like shit while driving.

Would the rain-x keep that water from sticking to the rim? Or would it
    serve no purpose what-so-ever?

    Thoughts, comments, flaming welcomed.

Check the back of the bottle. I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure it says not to get it on painted surfaces. Try a good paste wax and buff the crap out of them instead.

It problably won't do much at all. Kinda like when you put rain-x on the rear window... nothing really seems to happen but a clean window.

by the way, clean 5th gen. Black sendans <3

A product called "Rejex" is supposed to do that... though I've heard it's bullshit.

              It is.
The wax/buff method will work 100x's better.

I'm not sure this is exactly true. At the car wash that we have at the company I work for, they use rain-x on the whole car with the top dollar wash. There is actually a sign advertising the product that says, "Rain X, it's not just for for windows anymore."

So, I'm assuming it could help, but being a detailer myself, I've always used the wax/buff method on my own car's rims.
