ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Picking up a CD5 for 500bux.

like the title says. im gonna go take a look at it tonight.
i dont really know anything about it, but its a friend of my sister which is why its so cheap.

if the body is in better condition than my cb i think im gonna swap all my parts over to the CD and begin stripping the CB shell down for race duty.

    just putting it out there.....

    Should've posted this in CD5tuner-lite

I still like the CB platform better, personally. I've only driven one CD, and it felt crappy compared to my CB. Of course, I think it was a crappy example to begin with. If I ever drove Velocifero's car, something tells me my opinion of the CD chassis would change considerably.

      im still on the fence.
i saw the car. liked it. thought of how cool it would be with a H in it.
it didnt compare..... it was bigger. barely so, but bigger. just felt a bit more sloppy...

still couldnt get myself to picture gutting Jane of all her parts and leaving her as a shell with an engine.

i've always been really attached to CB's.
i've said it before that it was the car that kickstarted my love of the automobile.

to now get rid of a car that i have wished i owned since high school just sounds silly.

      i cant do it.

      Jane is staying.
maybe ill buy her a friend to share driveway space with.....

Velocifero. Currently the only full moderator on CD5tuner.com that I didn't previously know from CB7tuner. Probably my very favorite CD.

Done well, I think they can look amazing. Mechanically, they're pretty close to a CB. The interior isn't laid out as well as a CB, IMO... but that could just be because I'm so used to the CB.

Done poorly... and they look like ricer Civics. I saw a CD today that I thought was a Civic.

I think I actually prefer the CD wagon over the CB, though... although it's VERY close.

i like everything about the CD except for the body. i just like the boxy style of the CB better. my sister has a CD and ive driven it and i have to say, it feels like a different class of car to me.

I used to own a 1994 Coupe. I luvd it. I remember it as being more solid than my CB in almost every aspect. It even had 400k on the clock. It was also much peppier stock!
