Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    WTF? Suspending you registration for burning oil?

    Ok guys what do you think about this...

    I got a letter from the DMV, it stated that my cars "exceeds the emission law".

    Basiclly my car smokes to much (which it only burns oil at high RPM's, and you can hardly even see it)
    Now, I went to the DMV so they can inspect it and turns out that it didnt pass, the guy was being a total dick about it (I over heard him say "typical, another Honda", he prolly did it on purpose)...and that if I do not fix the problem within 30 days, they will suspend my registration. My damm car only smokes a little after 5000rpm....I hardly go 5000 unless im on the freeway, but I wasent on the freeway I was in the surface streets....

    It cost me about $2000 just to fix, $1800 for an h22a swap or trade it for an EX 5 speed coupe...which I dont want to do none of those (well maybe trade it but idk).

    I think IMO that here in nevada its stuped that if your cars smokes a little, some asshole puts the finger on you and the government fucks you up....thats really stealing our money, especially in this damn economy...

            How did they even know you was smoking? Were you on camera or some shit, that's so dum how you have 2 fix this smokey prob, and its the law. Wow.

                I got caught cuz some asshole called the DMV and reported my licsence plates that my car was smoking...

                  Get a simple leak down test and compression test, post the results here so we can help you. Your mechanic sounds like he drinks oil.

                      It is fixable. you could TRY to find someone with a spare block for cheap and just swap the block over. (granted you know some people who could help you cheaply for like pizza and beer/soda...)

                        That's retarded. Ontario has stupid emissions laws too.

                        Out here in good ol' Alberta, don't even have to think about. Catalytic converters are optional here.
