They're people. Some are role models, some aren't.

The media is the bad thing about celebrity role models in modern times, though. In the old days, role models were untouchable. Now, the media exposes every bit of a celebrity's life, especially when they fail.

Take anyone you'd like as a role model... but don't base your life entirely off of theirs. Take what good they have to offer, and leave the rest. Tiger IS a good influence in many ways. Just... not this way. He's always been soft spoken, polite, energetic. He never gave off an "I'm better than you" attitude. He never went overboard trying to take his fame as a soapbox from which to preach his beliefs on any particular issue. Until now, he has been a very good role model in just about every way.

me personally i don't look at celebs as role models becuz that's not everyday life for everyday ppl. actors, athletes & so on, they're regular ppl just like us but they have really good paying jobs thats all.

Personally, I'm finding it very amusing how you guys care as much to even discuss the private life of a perfect stranger. I guess people really do find the life of others more interesting.

As far as Tiger Woods himself or the stories around him... I couldn't care less. I don't know him personally, so I couldn't give a crap on what he does.

I think the reason for this is, he's a celeb, supposed to be an upstanding guy... now this has come about, proving he's no better than the next person. I hope he loses everything

It's not about "caring about a perfect strangers life". It's all just surprising to everyone. He has always been looked upon as a quiet, well respected guy. This is an interesting story to anybody that knows anything about Tiger.
