ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

buy a silencer for the muffler, buy some cheapo highbeams from autozone, does your car bottom out A LOT? if it bottoms out take a strut off and see what kind of spring it has

They rise their wooden pints and they yoik and sing

If you have cut springs, change them NOW! That can be dangerous. (enter all the idiots who will argue with me... but they are wrong.)

Honestly, now would be the time to put some money into your suspension. If you want to go cheap, but still have a good ride and be a little lowered... I suggest KYB GR2 shocks and H&R Sport springs. It won't be extremely low, which should allow you to pass inspection... but it'll be a sportier ride than stock. And if you're on cut springs (and I assume stock shocks... because one stupid move is often followed by another...) then your ride is going to be 100x better!

While you're down there, inspect your brakes, ball joints, bushings, etc... Once you change everything, get an alignment (or plan on buying new tires VERY soon)

Really, the only way to find out is to get down there and look. Maybe take good pictures and post them... if you can't tell, we should be able to. Stock springs don't have jagged ends... so if yours do, they were cut.

Yeah, that's actually really good stuff.

However, it says "H&R Sportline Springs" with a 2.5" drop... H&R doesn't make springs with that name, or that drop. If it's the sport springs, you're looking at under 2", and if it's the Race springs, slightly over 2".

The Koni shocks there are adjustable, but you have to take them apart to adjust them (unlike the yellow ones, which can be adjusted while on the car).

But yes... if you can get those cheap, and the springs are indeed H&R springs, then that would be a very good setup. Koni makes some of the best shocks for our cars, and H&R springs are top quality. You won't be disappointed with that.

In looking at those, I'm pretty sure they're the Race springs. You'll be dropped about 2.2" from stock. I have those on my car now. I actually liked the milder Sport drop better in terms of appearance, but the car handles very well (I also have Koni shocks, but the yellow version)

i know hwo to fix your exhaust.
first fo all you add a 18" glass pack under neath next to your res.
if you have an n1 muffler, you buy a silencer.
                      your car will sound stock.

trust me im going threw this, and i took these steps, and no cops

Those should pass, yes. You might want to get the milder Sport springs over those Race springs for less of a drop, just to be safe.

That first link you posted was better in terms of shocks, though. GR2s are stock replacement. Those Koni Reds are actual performance shocks.

usually stock springs look weathered and have cut marks when you cut them. also you will bottom out a lot, and they probably make a clanking noise

this is true, plus the car might be lower at 1 corner than another cuz usually morons cut their springs
