ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I work in foreclosures. I'm plenty busy... but I talk to a lot of people who are having hard times. Things are rough these days. Get what you can, and do your best to live below your means.

Im not experiencing it myself but I know other friends and family members that are in the same situation as you. But keep your head up and good luck finding a new job. make sure you apply everywhere even if you think you cant stand working there.

I can relate to you, Famous. I was working a pretty decent job for a few years, then one day..BAM..Laid off. I was living in MA. at the time and the unemployment checks there are pretty awesome, but its still a huuuge pay cut and its a pain to try and make ends meet on a monthly basis. It gave me alot of time to re-work my resume among other things and a few months later I landed a pretty cushy sales possision. It sounds hella cliche, but...hang in there. something will come along.

Thats cool but it sounds like you need to come up in the game and try to do things yourself. I used to work for a truckin company and said to myself to the boss i need a raise. And they only gave us a 35 cent raise i was like the fuck is this a joke.

And he was like no its not a joke. And i knew from the paperwork iw as getting that he was making atleast 180,000 a day so i said fuck that i went into the business myself and stole 20 customers from him and i have people working for me and i make 2 grand a week.

And im licensed and contracted and insured so my business doesnt go under. Im just stackin chips so hang in there you gotta learn the game and make it work for you.

i was an Architect... and back in Feb i was laid off. sucks.
but know I'm joining the Army and will be taking off for basic in a month or two. just look real hard and you'll find something.

one more thing, my wife, child and i have lived on $1700 a month in northern California since Feb, if i can do it feeding two extra mouths and bills, i know you singles guys should have no issue at all while on unemployment. its all about your priorities, what is critical to have and what is sacrificial ( i.e. cable and such)

                        later

I've been out of work for like 6 months or so. I'm behind on child support, probation payments, and every bill I have so I know how it feels man. I finally got a call the other day and might have a job now but it's been forever since i've had a job. It sucks. You just gotta keep putting in applications and doing whatever you can for money.

When writing a resume, avoid typing like that.

I took a $3/hour paycut this year. I tried to make it through with that, but it wasn't working out. I've since had to get a 2nd job. It's been tough, but hopefully it'll get better for all of us before too long.
