ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The intake manifold was a stock H23 one and the ecu was not stock.

If I sent you guys an ECU could you put a basemap tune on it for the cam with an H23 IM, I/H/E etc?

Considering a stock f22a1 probably puts down barely over 100whp, I'd say that's pretty good.

IHE f22 with a6 cam and a good tune can get to the 135's pretty easy
its been done before, i've would had expected this from a stage 1

you'all think this is too much of a cam for that motor?

What header was it running? And what size exhaust? If that was on a Bisimoto header and a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust, I'd expect a bit more...

However, the exhaust ports on the F22A are a bit restrictive. Some headwork would greatly increase those numbers.

Still, 149whp is QUITE good. That's nearly a 50% increase over stock, with bolt-on mods. The H22 only makes about 165whp, and it does so higher in the RPM range.

This is still quite a ways off from jdm92acorn's 172 whp... I know he had headwork but I can't see that attributing to 23whp

with a good valve job, you'd be suprised. headwork allows the engine to breathe just like the correct intake or header.

stage 2 on a stock head is too much.

An engine's airflow capabilities are only as good as the worst bottleneck. The exhaust ports in stock form are not all that great... so until you modify them, a Stage 2 cam is overkill. Most people that go Stage 2 at least have plans for headwork. And with the F22A heads being so cheap, it makes no sense NOT to work a head!

Headwork alone wouldn't add up to 23whp... But headwork combined with a good cam, like the Bisimoto Stage 2, a decent header, and a decent exhaust... tuned properly... THAT could easily find 23whp. Don't forget, every mod augments the others.
