wassup my friend was talkin to me about some dude who was sellin a 98 golf coupe for 1300 it has 105 k on the engine and from what i heard it has vr6 engine!! i was like huh real fuckin cheap.. thinkin about getting it but i jus wanna see what the 98 golf coupe looks like?? can anyone post some pics of the 98 vw coupe if they have one.. yes ive looked on google but the pics somehow dont satisfy me?? ( ALSO... SHOULD I GO FOR IT AND GET IT???)

The VR6 was a lame duck in terms of performance. Way too soft. Totally lost sight of what the original GTI was built for.
Not a terrible car, but I've only known a handful of VWs personally, and EVERY one had serious electrical problems. I've also seen at least 5 VWs on fire on the side of the road.
The only VWs I'd ever consider owning would be no newer than 1992... and MAYBE the brand new ones. the late 90s and early 2000s VWs scare the living crap out of me.
