ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

also what valuable five finger discount pieces are there to get every time you guys go lol. (i like to leave with something rather than nothing)

Eh Idaho sucks for junkyards. We have them, but most of the CB's are already gutted to shit.

haha yea that is how it is here in California, when the new shipment of cars comes the cars are filled with parts and in 2-4 days they are already gutted out.

Keep an eye out for flushmounts, fogs, lips, armrests, mufflers, strut towers, rims, rear disc brakes, anything that looks out of the ordinary.

450cc DSM injectors are a good thing too, although they're usually gone. Turbos are cool too, just check for shaft play before bothering to take it out.

Relays are good five finger discounts. Most places will just let you have them for free anyway.

Yeah the main yard I visit has a $1 entrance fee where you can take any fuses, nuts, bolts, relays, and lamps for free. And you can borrow a wheel barrow, and if you come across a stuck bolt they will cut it off for ya.

I am crazy hooked on goin to the junk yard. I like to score bolts, fuses and stuff like that. I was hella excited when I got a heater knob. I've had the car for 8 years and I just found out that the heater control clicks when you turn it. I found a complete 93 lx for 400 and its in great shape to be in a yard. I'm trying to get it by next week. There should be some kind of intervention for us......lol

click to check out my bb6 dash swap

yea, and as for the lx, you should go for it if it is in running condition

I look for legend lips, coilovers, shocks, any Prelude ECUs, power antennas, basically all accessories that you can add on to our cars.

I found a complete set of 91 Fogs once w/ switch all 3 harnesses and both fogs.

Recently, if i don't find anything for my CB7, I look into the domestic cars. Some come w/ Superchargers that I buy for like 50 and then sell for like 250 on CL.

I don't just look at Honda though, I found some Ground Control Coilovers on an Acura Legend once and sold those the next day on CL for like 5x what I bought em for.

Also got a couple Thule Roof racks a lot of people look for those too.

wow that is a lot of stuff you can find in your local junk yard.
the only supercharger i have ever seen on a car in the junk yard was an SSEI and that is about it. all the domestic cars are gutted and the ones which are left alone are the 4 and 6 cylinders
