yes in alaska its a big sport yes its like paintball but without the weird looking guns its for the ppl who want to play paintball or any shooting sport but with a realistic weapon personaly i own 3 guns all of wich are airsoft i have a 1911 a ump and a full replica m14 but its also kool because in stead of making them plastic like walmart does (cheap weak POS) they use decommisioned military parts (exspensive) and just fab in the airsoft parts i.e. gearbox barrel motor and battery they are also a hell of alot stronger then those walmarts but yes it also illegal to carry them or transport them without that damn tip
but we in alaska have certian places to play it so your not runing the streets with them hangin out plus i have my pistol on me most of the time because its powerfull (around 450fps it will hurt and wound make some one think twice) and alaska has a no permit policy
