Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    stupid F'n virus

    For the past week i have been trying to remove the fucking virus.it ia called
    ""Trojan.Brisv.A!inf"" and i cant take it off my puter.Has anyone dealt with this virus before.my puter is running like shit.i called Norton and they want $100 buck to remove it.

    it's liek a wanna be bullshit version of an antivirus that tries to get u
    to buy a full version..i haven't figured out how to remove it =[

      I actually just dealt with it. Like not even a week ago. If you have Norton Antivirus, just run a full scan until it detects it. Then at the end of the scan, it says you need to do a manual removal. It will then ask you to "review" the problem, and it'll link you to the Symantec website. I downloaded the removal tool for free from the Symantec website, and just followed the instructions on there.

        when i do the a full scan it does not detect it.i also downloaded the tool and also did a scan and it said it could not find the virus.
        i know it there cause when i go to the quarantine unresolved issues it show that virus.

          yeah i have McAfee and i did regular scans and everything and then i got the hi-jacker virus and i had to completely restore my computer back to the factory settings to get rid of it i was pissed...all my ipod songs and pics not to mention my school work...but yeah...it sucks and thats the only way i could get rid of it

                thats the problem right there too many free downloads + porn = virus

                  Norton uses too much memory for my liking. I use windows live OneCare, and Spybot S&D.
                  I've never had any virus issues since I've had those 2 programs.

                  Download Spybot Search and destroy (Its free) and do a full scan - See how that goes for you

                    try the free version of lavasoft's adaware, works great for me...finds stuff my $50 norton didn't.

                    Stop going to porn sites ;D

                      Actually i wish i can but i have my little girls around me all the time.
                      i wifes teenage daughter got it from Limewire.she cant touch my puter for 2 months.

                            i had that virus not too long ago along with a trojan and somehow the two corrupted a file needed for my AVG PRO. i had to get a whole new antivirus program to remove it.

                            Appearently it's used by the guys at Best Buy's Geeksquad, Webroot Antivirus with antispyware. it's only 30 bucks but the liscense will last me till the end of 2010.

                            I was told to boot the computer into safe mode if i want the best chances to remove a virus, either that or power down and attach the infected drive to a known healthy computer as the slave and have it scan the infected drive. the second method normally works but it's a hassle to pull the HDD out everytime.

                              i run a series of security programs.

                              i use nod32 for my antivirus program

                              windows defender, spybot s&d, and lavasoft adaware for my spyware detectors

                              for antivirus, i would suggest nod32 or kaspersky. they both update virus definitions hours at a time constantly. yet, both run in the background with minimal system resources.
