ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

the proof is all out there, open up a coil pack, and look at the friction disks in an auto transmission that has been neutral dropped and hasn't been. and tell me that its not bad for it. and that sjust one of the things that can go wrong in there.

once again, read up and learn about auto transmissions.

to the orignal poster, the best way for you to try and spin the tires in an automatic is to stall the torque converter.

put it in drive and hold down the brake and the gas, this will raise the rpm to about 2500 or so, then quickly let off the brakes, thats your safest bet.
burning out in an auto in general is harming your trans...you think i don't know that....or your too busy thinking i'm an ignorant fool that knows what i'm talking about?.....you serious? what your pushing me?.....if your going to try to prove me wrong or call me a straight dumbass then do it right....or atleast do it in a nice way.....cuz i ain't trying to start shit...and i'm pretty sure you ain't either right bro?

so it goes from doing a neutral drop to burning out in general... right. i'm not starting anything, i hate people who give horrible information, and you were one of them. reccomending a neutral drop is the worst thing you can do, i stated the right way to do it in an automatic.

i was never fighting or arguing, so no need for a truce.

knowledge is power. stalling the torque converter is the best way to "burnout" in an automatic.

what is stalling the torque converter? i got an auto, never tried burning out, the best launch i can get is by applying the brakes and pressing on the gas to get teh rpms a little higher without moving, then i just let go of teh brakes and launch. what is this stalling the torque converter?
