Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I love the styling on this car. I just like older model Hondas in general though. We had a baby on the way and I needed to get a four door car but I wasn't having anything other than a cb7. Sure if I had the money an evo or sti would be nice but i'm happy with what I have. It took me forever to find this car but it was worth the wait.

I've always loved the styling of the 4th gen Accord (especially the 92-93 versions). After I graduated HS and was going to move up North to go to college, I needed an economical and practical FWD sedan... so I set off to find a 92-93 Accord. To make a long story short, I didn't find any that I liked after an entire week of searching... but I did find a very nice 1996 Accord with only 45k miles. It wasn't the body style that I wanted (the 5th gens just didn't look as classy to me) but it was still an Accord and aside from cosmetics, felt to be very similar to a 4th gen.
I wound up driving the car for almost 6 years and just recently sold it with 220,000 miles. Never broke down, always started, never had any issues, just start and go... It's only major flaw was that it wasn't the 4th gen that I had always wanted, so I finally decided to sell it and buy the 93 10th Anniversary Accord that I have now.
I LOVE this car... the way it looks, the way it drives, the comfort and overall feel of the interior, etc. Even though there are many similarities between the 4th and 5th gen Accords, now that I've owned both, I must say that I still much prefer the 4th gen. Honda has gradually done cost cutting with every new generation and it's even apparent between these two gens. My 93 feels tighter and more solid than my 96 did, the doors shut with a solid 'thunk' and the interior materials feel of higher quality (especially on the door panels). There is just a bit more attention to detail in this car than in the 96. It also feels more solid and tight on the road... it's a lot more nimble and doesn't feel quite as 'hollow' over rough roads as did the 96. Things that were worn/wearing out in the 96, are still like new in the 93.
Taking into consideration that these cars are now going on between 16-19 years old and how many of them are still on the road serving as reliable daily commuters, it is more than obvious that they were over engineered. Sadly, I don't think the later generations will age as gracefully and I've had first hand experience with this (including my 07).
So, to answer the question... I bought a CB7 because I love the body style, the feel and overall design/layout of the interior (which I also much prefer over the 5th gen), the quality and the fact that I can still drive a 16 year old car that drives just as well, is every bit as reliable as a much newer car and has such classy styling that I'm not embarrassed to pull up to a fancy restaraunt in it...
That was the short version.

well my dad was always looking for hondas or something gas efficient so when i told him i was getting a car he told me to get a honda. I looked it over and the cb seemed to be the better car in my price range. I just liked how it looked, plus i saw a moded one and just dumbed out on it. So that's why i got it. =]
